Late last month we fancied a week in Cyprus so I e-mailed Nicos (owner) and Maria (his daughter)at the Kefalonitis to see if they had an apartment we could use. We knew they were shut and also knew that Nicos would be in the middle of his annual Winter alterations, but... more

Arrived just before midnight, and was greated by a friendly Scottish chap (unsure of his name)on reception. Assisted with our luggage when showing us to our room. Good job as there are no lifts so you would struggle if you were without a strong man to carry your suitcase up... more

Dont even bother
While we didn't expect top quality we did expect something clean for our around £2,000 holiday. The apartment was infested with ants. They were everywhere including the food. The kitchen units were tired and worn & the fridge looked as though it had come from the tip! The bathroom suite was old, plastic shower curtain filthy & there was onlt a small plastic shelf on which to put toiletries, which was unstable. We had to go and ask for a key to the bathroom so that we could lock it. The bedroom curtains were torn & at 3am in... more

stayed at this hotel end of july in 1 bed apartment in a block look like hadnt been redone since the 70s funiture old and dated bathroom really bad, the bath was advocardo (says it all) and was so scum covered even a brillo would not remove.the first night the table in the dressing room was over run with ants then we started to see the roaches about 2inchs long. the air con would stop and start in the middel of the night along with the lights the sun beds were frayed or broken and the pool tinyfor the amount of room the kids pool... more
Disapointed
My husband and I have just returned from a weeks stay a the Kefalonitis hotel apartments. I booked these apartments based on price, location and other reviews which I had read. Arriving at the Kefalonitis I was expecting to be greated by the warm and friendly staff that I had read about. Instead we were met by the manager who was brusk and shown to the room by a scotsman who I never saw smile once during our whole stay. The initial impression of the buildings is not particulaly good as the corridors are gloomy and echo loudly. The room... more
nice apartments friendly staff
We stayed at these apartments for a week at the beginning of october. the apartments were fine and quiet a comparison with the dreadfull tomb of the Kings Road. It is a shame that the numerous cafes and bars which I must admit offer a high standard of service and food are compromised by the noisy road. The staff at the Kefolonitis are friendly and do everything they can to make sure you enjoy yourself. The bar prices are OK and the sunbeds are plentiful. The harbour area, about a 20 minute walk away was great both day and night. The old town... more
Not much love on the island of Aphrodite
The Kefalonitis Apartments are situated just off the Tomb of the Kings Road strip with its bars, restaurants and shops. From here it is about 4 kilometres to the Port area of Paphos, and a short walk to the Tombs of the Kings themselves. The rooms at the Kefalonitis are, well, roomy, simply furnished and clean. By no means luxurious but perfectly satisfactory for a late summer/early autumn break with our 5 year old Granddaughter. She thoroughly enjoyed herself at the fair sized pool, which also boasted a children's area. It helped that... more
Nice one for families
My Girlfriend and I stayed here for a week in August, and whilst I take on board the comment that the apartments are basic, they were very clean and perfectly functional. One thing to note is that we had to pay for the air conditioning, which although optional you will definitely need if you go during the summer. It cost about £25 for the week so not terrible but still a little unexpected! The best thing we did all week was found the bus stop, the buses go every fifteen minutes either into the harbour or the other way to Coral Bay (nice... more
Excellent Holiday-Want to go back soon
Good standard of accommodation. Room was really clean, Kitchen looked new and had everything you needed, Maid service 5 times a week. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants right by the hotel and it was about a ten minute walk to the main centre of paphos and the harbour were the main street of shops, bars, clubs and restaurants were. Not really a beach in paphos-a small shingle beach 2minutes from the kefalonitis and a small beach by the harbour. Coral bay has a really nice big beach which is about 15-20minutes away by bus, bus... more

me and my familly have come to cyprus for the six time this year, and this hotel has got better every year. Its not just a familly resort but is also a friendly reception from all of the staff! the apt are very acsesable to supermarkets, stores, car hires and trip organisers and restraunts. The rooms are very clean and perfect for famillies that are not planning on staying in all the time. There is a nice pool that is clean with a nice cafe/barat the side that has a really nice Bar men that served my Grandad many good memories of cyprus! We... more
Don't go!
Vey disappointing! I have just stayed in this accommodation and will not return. The apartment was very clean however extremely basic and not what I expected for 3 star accommodation. The cleaners were very noisy and woke us up most mornings at 8am There was no hot water in the evenings between 6.30 and 8pm which made showering very difficult if you wanted to go out before 9pm. The staff were miserable with the exception of Demitri the evening bar man who was great. The in door pool, massage, gym etc looked... more
Fantastic holiday
I went to Paphos in September 2004 and it was one of the best holidays I have had, weather was scorching, nearly 40C some days. The hotel was a little below my expectations for a 3*+ but we had a large room and it was clean. The pool at this hotel is fantastic and the staff are very friendly. As with other reviews I read before I went, you can't complain about the number of sun loungers, there is plenty for everyone. There is a friendly dog in the reception area and a few cats about but they were not noisy as we thought they may have... more
