" lovely hotel with lovely people "

My wife and i stayed at this hotel and was extreamly pleased with it ,i can honestly say its the best place we have ever been. The hotel its self is fantastic the rooms are a great size and very very clean nice balcony too.the swimming pool is a great size with nice surroundings and also is spotlessly clean, the pool bar is very nice offering a good choice of food and drinks which are reasonably priced.its sittuated in a brilliant position too not to far from the resturants and the beach.
With regards to a couple of the reviews i have seen on here saying that it was dirty and the owner was rude is absolute rubbish i dont know what they are talking about, you will not find a cleaner place and as for the owner and all of the staff at the kefalonitis they were fantastic they are lovely people. We loved our holiday here and cant wait to go back next year!Trust me if you are going to paphos you must stay here its fantastic.

Advice: lovely island with lovely people

" fantastic hotel & lovely people "

Had a fantastic stay at the kefalonitis hotel apts, it is a lovely family run hotel with a genuine friendly atmosphere. The rooms are spacious & well equipped with everything you need. They are very clean & have regular maid service. They have air conditioning in all rooms making it lovely & cool & had a lovely view from my balcony. The hotel is in a great location close to restaurants, shops, beaches & places of interest.
The hotel has a lovely large swimming pool that was very clean & there were lots of sunbeds around the pool. The food & drink at the snack bar were nice & very reasonably priced.
All staff at the hotel are really friendly & very accomodating and the barman is really nice & a lot of fun. I would reccomend this hotel to everyone who wants a fantastic holiday & am looking forward to going back next year.

Advice: gorgeous

" Average apartments shame about the rude owner! "

Arrived just before midnight, and was greated by a friendly Scottish chap (unsure of his name)on reception. Assisted with our luggage when showing us to our room. Good job as there are no lifts so you would struggle if you were without a strong man to carry your suitcase up 3 flights of stairs with an unsecure bannister.
When entered the room, yes very average, and definitely not a 4* hotel as it claimed to be. Lucky for us we had no issue with additional guests (ie the ants) which others appear to have met. The room was clean, but no towels in the room whatsoever. When approached the gentleman (later transpired was actually the owner) in the morning we were practically accused of stealing the towels well... "very strange, very strange you have no towels in your room!!" was more like it. What happened to the customer is always right?? Regardless we did eventually get the 'missing' towels.
AIR CONDITIONING: Very surprised this was provided free of charge, but then would have demanded my money back if I had paid for it! First morning after arriving, woke up to find the floor completely wet with a dirty brown liquid. The aircon had leaked everywhere, and again when politely reported the incident to the owner, received a very negative response. Arrived later that day, and the issue seemed to be resolved, but no apology for any inconvenience, or that it had actually been fixed.
JACUZZI: Decided to use this facility on the last day of our holiday, as the weather was a little unsettled. Politely asked the owner, and was shocked when he responded that it would cost 10 Euros each!! Daylight robbery, and no mention of this on website when booked holiday. Felt like he was being difficult again!!
On a positive note...
Lots of sunbeds surrounding the pool all day, so no fight to get there first thing.
Cleaners wehre very sweet, and did clean room 5 days a week.
Paphos Harbour is absolutely stunning with lots of top end bars/ restaurants should you wish to escape the iffy cheesy bars locally. It is approx a 30 min walk from this hotel, and the beach is approx a similar distance.
FOODWISE: we haven't been to Cyprus before, and really found the food expensive. Definitely worth shopping around, and to look out for some specific restaurants offering 3 course meals for 10 Euros. Fat Mamas (practically opposite this hotel) has good food with fantastic entertainment. I believe they do kids face painting, and balloon making aswell.

Advice: Lovely resort, but keep an eye out for great value restaurants (especially if you have kids)

Activities: Fat Mamas Restaurant, Jeep Safari Trip

Good for: Beach

" very very dirty "

this was definatly the worst place weve ever stayed with my 3 kids. it is definatly not a family complex purely because it has no kids clubs or evening entertainment.we paid alot to stay there where you expect something for the kids. also the cleaners would attend when they felt like it, but never cleaned, all they did was make the beds! the place was filthy when we arrived so you can imagine what it looked like after our 2 wk stay with 3 kids! i wouls have cleaned it myself if i had the equipment to do so, very dissapointing.the manager didnt want to know, all he said was we brits complain too much. nothing worked, the air conditioning which we had to pay for, for 2 wks kept breaking down and leaking water, the kettle was broke, and the towel rail in bathroom was hanging off the wall! i would definatly not recommend this place unless you get it for nearly fre e!i can only suggest a hotel not too far named kefolas village apmt which was lovely and they allowed us to use their kids clubs, pool and evening entertainment which was great.i really could not wait to come home to some cleansiness.

Advice: lovely place

" June 2009 "

Very clean apartments. Nichos is not the grumpy person as described by others but is extremely charming and does try to help his guests. Dimitri, the bar manager is extremely helpful and charming. The accomadation is clean, towels and sheets changed every third day, sometimes every other day. Local beer Keo sells in the bar @2.3 euro which is cheaper than most places. Rigas is the best local restaurant, is family run and is good value. Food generally in Cyprus is extremely expensive even in major supermarkets. Pool is clean and checked every morning at 6am. Plenty of sun beds. Bar was quite when we were there but still has a great atmophere thanks to Demitri's style and happy disposition. Hire a car, there are some good bargins at the moment, I used Economic Car Hire through the internet, this enbles you to get about and avoid the crowds in Kato Paphos

Advice: Don't limit your holiday to Paphos, explore the area around

Activities: Rigas on Tomb of Kings Rd and Chez Alex best fish in the area

" basic and dated apartments,problem... "

basic and dated apartments, problem with ants so dont drop a morsel or you`ll be swarmed with ants.no atmosphere in place.bar tender did`nt speak, but it was cleanish if you just want a base.main beach is a 15/20 min bus ride away which was excellent, and harbour is nice at nite.personaly i would`nt go back.car hire place just outside hotel which was 10 euro`s cheaper for 2 days than most places but cheapest is not always best as we found out (keep away from vitara soft tops).

" All I can say is please don't make... "

All I can say is please don't make the big mistake we did with these apartments, we booked our hol around a month before and travelled on the 27th Aug for a week and paid over £400 each, which was expensive considering the shabbyness of the place when we arrived!!!!

When we pulled up at the apartments at midnight after a 5 hour delay at Manchester airport, we were gutted to say the least. On arrival we found the room crawling with Ants! The pool was dirty, the sunbeds were old and the reception staff were rude and very un welcoming!!!

After finally finding our room in the dark corridors, it was very spacious, but again in urgent need of decorating, there were ants in the bathroom, and by the end of the hol they were everywhere!!! The beds were a complete joke, you could feel the springs in your back! The air con was useless, like a small mouse coughing!! As you can imagine after a day in the heat, you were wanting a nice cool room, that didn't happen as it took around 40 mins to cool the room to a bearable temperature. We also had a fantastic view of a wall and the sitting room of a neighbouring Cypriot house.

The food at the pool bar wasn't fantastic but edible. The bar was very expensive. For Ice Creams and drinks I would reccomend you go to the supermarket on the corner. Everyone seemed to be doing it!!

We made the most of our hol by eating in lovely restaurants and heading to bar st a few nights!!! I'd definately reccommend Fat Mammas across the road, very nice food! O'neills is great for snacks in the day, and great atmosphere in the evening.

One thing I would recommend is the Half Day Heaven boat trip from the Harbour!! Brilliant!

Couple aged 23 and 26!!!

" These apartments are definitely not... "

These apartments are definitely not 4*. The rooms are tired and uncomfortable although clean. The towel allocation is dreadful (we were given one hand towel between the two of us) and they are only changed once every three days. You need to carefully monitor that this is adhered to.
The snack bar is very definitely more cafeteria than dining room but we never ate there. The room telephone system is an absolute rip off and you would be well advised not to use it. Finally, on the negative side, the staff all appear to be as miserable as sin.
The apartments are well located, however, being close to The Tomb Of The Kings Road and a wide range of bars and restaurants.
We would not use it again.

" Just back from a fortnight at these... "

Just back from a fortnight at these apartments which we booked last minute but were very impressed with the accommodation.

The staff are really friendly and the hotel has a nice atmosphere to it being mostly full of families or couples. The cleaners are in every day apart from a sunday and the air conditioning in the rooms works very well too. The apartments aren't intense luxury but I would definetly award them their 3 star title as they are spacious, clean and have good self catering facilities. The apartment had a hairdryer and microwave which I wasnt really expecting it to have as well.

The apartments are about a 15 min bus journey to the coral bay beach and again about a 15min walk to the harbour and pubs and clubs. Restaurant wise we didn't find the food at the harbour generally very impressive as it was all exactly the same and kind of like an expensive chippy! however if you turn right when you leave the hotel along the road to the coral bay there are a good selection of reasonably priced restaurants. Our favourite was one called Gondola which was a 10 min walk that way. Outside it looked like a pub but inside the tables were all really nice, staff friendly and food excellent. Set menu is really good value! (try the suckling pig)

If you hire a car I would also recommend stopping at the governor's beach which is on the road to ayia napa, its really nice and secluded. Also do NOT hire from savvas rentals (which is near the hotel on the way to the harbour) as our car broke down several times and so did other peoples. The car hire right next to the hotel is good.

All in all had a good holiday and apartments were great!

" Coming back for a second time to... "

Coming back for a second time to Cyprus this time with my partner, i thought it would be in our best interest to stay somewhere thats local, friendly and all round has a good atmosphere and quiet to get them lil needed zzzzzz's. The Staff recognized me straight away from my last visit which was over a year ago and made me and my partner feel welcome again. Was made to feel at home where as you walk into the reception there was the family dog - god knows how old that lil chap is. Rooms exceptionally clean, with all ammentites needed. Found the fridge and safety deposit box very useful as the air conditioning. Maid's came in most days with always fresh towels and lining on our beds although when needing more towels it would of come in handy if the maids spoke a litttle English. Overall was still the best holiday and best apartments ever!! which is why im thinking of going back this year.

" I went to Cyprus last year with my... "

I went to Cyprus last year with my mum, dad and sister, it was really good, one of the best holidays I had been too. The staff were really nice and friendly, always willing to help. The bedroom was really clean and the air condition was really good especially in the afternoon when it was really hot. The pool was very clean and the people staying at it were nice.

Best restaurant to go to is Tramp, lovely people that own it and best food around. I'd recommend the Aphrodite's waterpark and the trip to Egypt, it was amazing.

Aw well you should go to Cyrus as a package holiday!

It was great and I will be coming back again in July with my family and two friends.
