Stayed at these apartments on a half board basis, from aug 24 to 31st. Had room 204, on opening of the door for the first time, I thought I had stepped into a council flat that was in need of a good lick of paint. The fittings in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms need an... more

Smelly rooms....less than basic!! NO Aor Con as advertided and paid for.We were told by the Restaurant Manager to open the window if we wished to be cooler. No Wi Fi....and the final straw...we were given a FAKE bill for 2 breakfasts we never had and charged to our room.
Staff unhelpful and made us pay.
We checked out one week early

Spent a week in Paphos to attend a mates wedding, booked into the Daphne and I must say it was pretty good. Only there for a week so chose to eat out rather than buy food and make full use of the appartment facilities. My room was good, walls could do with a freshen up but... more

We stayed self catering for a week in June in this hotel and it was noisy 24/7 because it is on the main street and because of the air conditioner of the restaurant's block just opposite our flat that kept switching on and off the whole night. The size of the flats are... more

On arrival we were allocated a two bedroom ground floor apartment with a pool view - not bad considering we booked a one bedroom non-pool view room! The apartment was basic but huge. Two twin bedded rooms were again basic, but large and functional with plenty of storage... more

Worst Place to stay in Kardemena, Kos.
Just returned from two weeks staying at the Daphne Apartments, Kardemena, Kos. Apartment was very small and disappointing. Kitchen very basic even though it was supposed to be self-catering, there was only a small one and a half ring hob, small fridge, kettle and small toaster. Sheets and towels were only changed once in two weeks. there was disgusting graffitti written inside the wardrobes, drawers and cabinets. The Blue pool was great although it turned green towards the end of the week. Food was a bit pricey though and if you didn't buy food there every day, they weren't too friendly towards you. I would definitely not recommend this hotel if you want some sleep as they allowed large groups of single-sex parties to stay there and they have no consideration for those who want to sleep. There were fights, arguments, sex sessions, doors slamming, shouting, talking, furniture being moved from midnight till 7am every night. Will never go there again. Kardemena is a lovely town and the locals are friendly.
Not for me,waste of money!!
We booked this hotel because it had 2 bedrooms. We went HB what a mistake, the food is terrible and the staff even worse. They make you feel that they are doing you a favour cooking and serving your food.Bar staff(english)very rude with no customer service, the bar was always empty due to him and his attitude.Pool cleaned daily but very small and very tatty.Location good for habour and ideal for young clubbers, lots of drunken behavour very near the hotel.Very noisy at times.Paid far to much for the standard of this hotel and would never go back.
Cypriot Hospitality at its Best!
This small, centrally situated hotel offers great value for money and is staffed by very helpful and friendly staff. Our apartment was spacious and serviced regularly and the pool and surrounding areas were checked and maintained regularly. The Daphne is in a great location and is just two minutes from the sea, near to restaurants / bars and is on the town bus route. As regular visitors to Paphos, we have noticed in the recent past that many hotels and tourist establishments have been staffed by non-cypriots - it was a refreshing change to meet the new manager, Stavros Paparistodenou and his Cypriot staff and be greeted by a very friendly young Cypriot receptionist Ellada Kotanidou. All of them went out of their way to fulfil any requests and provide a very warm welcome.
Great location, friendly staff, value for money
Met by friendly staff on arrival, who continued to be helpful throughout. Clean room with new beds, basic but adequate s/c facilities, restaurant available, brand new sunloungers at pool. Excellent central location for any of Pahos' delights, which may be a little noisy for some but suited us just fine. All in all, very pleasant, value for money accommodation
MANY THANKS-great place to spend u r holidays
This was our fisrt time in Pafos, and we really enjoyed our stay.Daphne hotel is located in the heard of the tourist area, no need of Taxi or bus for transportation.Hospitality and care of the people there was excellent.Me & my friends 6 people total are very greatful to you...we shall come back again! Better than any hotel room
We have always gone to a hotel room with buffet for breakfast but for the first time went to a hotel apartment and were treated like royalty. The apartment had a separate kitchen and living area and the bedroom was en-suite better than being cramped in a hotel room. The breakfast was served to you and although a bit on the large side kept us going all day with no need for lunch. The hotel was spotless and we couldn't fault it at all. Management and staff were all very friendly and there was always someone there to take care of you. The garden was beatifully filled with brightly coloured flowers and kept tidy and the pool was cleaned every day.
Great Holiday
Booked this for my 40th Birthday and mentioned this on my booking form. We had 2 rooms booked and had also requested them together. When we arrived the check-in was smooth and fast, we were shown to our rooms (next to eachother). We had rooms in block 4 on the top floor (2nd floor) with a pool view, with this we also had a sea view. Our apartment was clean with a nice size balcony with 2 doors (1 via the bedroom and the other via the living area), we also had a french balcony (in the living area), bathroom was clean and a nice size. The shower seemed to have a mind of it's own but we managed to work it out within a day or so. The towels are grey in colour but not by over use and they were changed everyday aswell as the apartment cleaned everyday. The fridge door in the room was a little rusty but the fridge worked and kept our drinks nice and cold. The air-con was not really that good but during the day when we were in the apartment we just opened the front door and the french balcony doors and we got a nice breeze. T.V. in the room - only real English speaking channel was CNN, there were the odd movie every now and then on other channels as well as Knight Rider (in English), but we didn't book this holiday to watch T.V. Breakfast was nice, because the apartments have there own restaurant, breakfast was prepared when you ordered it, you have the choice of English, Continental or Pancakes along with Orange Juice, Tea or Coffee and Toast. Well worth paying the extra at time of booking. The swimming pool was cleaned everyday. The supermarket is just around the corner and is very cheep. There are 3 bars next to the apartments, didn't hear much from them really, just once when they had a live band, but this could be because of the time of year we went (end Sept/Oct). If you like your sports then most of the bars have sky sports so you wont miss a thing. Bar Street is only 1 minute walk away and the harbour is only 5 minutes walk away with alot of restaurants to choose from both in the harbour along the promanade, as well as your fast food restaurants (McD's, KFC + Pizza Hut) If you like the beach then you can get the number 15 bus from the harbour (1.50 euros), this takes approx 20-30 minutes and busses run about every 10 minutes, do make sure the bus is going the right way though as the bus stop serves busses going to the beach in Coral Bay and also the Waterpark in the opposite direction. I had a fantastic time at the Daphne Apartments and would not hesitate to go back. Do remember that these apartments are very central so noise could be expected during busy times, but you could always request a room facing away from the pool/bars where the noise may not be so loud. There were families staying here at the same time and they all seemed to be having a good time too. Also with them being central, there were no additional taxi fares to pay as nearly everything is within walking distance.
Awful! Terrible!
Are you having a laugh? This was promised to be a fantastic place for a couple to stay with beautiful sea views and a great 1 double bed roomed apartment. HAHA! Absolutely not!! My partner and I stayed here for 1 week and hated it. It was DIRTY, run down and definitely not what we were told. Our sea view was a car park. We actually had paid extra for a sea view....so we paid 60 bucks to look out onto a car park on our manky small balcony. Towels - yuk. Grey, over used un-clean and looked as if they were over 10 years old. The kitchen - we tried not to set foot in it. It was the most repulsive kitchen with awful tiling and décor, complete with a 2 ringed ALL IN ONE oven / grill / hob which looked like an old microwave from a 1940s P.O.W. camp – it looked far too dangerous to use. The plug sockets over heated and were dangerous to use. We were told that the kitchens had been refurbished too, a big lie, I bet there wasn’t even a kitchen in this bombsite to begin with. There is no satellite TV, just a few channels and one news channel in English. The TV itself was about 20yrs old and gave a fuzzy reception. Air conditioning...a big no. We supposedly had but it was hardly what you would call working. A small whiff of cool air made it impossible to cool the apartment down; we had a fan we had to use which was very noisy. Night's sleep was terrible… we had very little sleep. We were told we would have a double bed, instead two worn old single beds pushed together and we believe the sheets weren’t cleaned all week, disgusting when you are sweating uncontrollably all night due to no air con. The maid service wasn’t good either, it took them 4 days to clean the bathroom sink and the apartment was dirty and we felt unclean from the start. Incidentally if you do go to the toilet be prepared for 5mins of the most horrendous noise from the pipes afterwards. We didn’t even go near the pool so we can’t comment on it. We spent as little time at the apartment as possible. Such a WASTE of money. I would NEVER set foot in this place again, it's awful. A total con by the booking agent. Don’t waste your time. We are absolutely gutted we spent money in this hole.
awful
So disapointing. Very different to web site photos. Pool on side of very busy street. It was surrounded by 'GRASS' which was in fact rather old green carpet. On our arrival this area was very dirty . I DO HAVE TO ADMIT IT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY CLEANED REGULARLY. The first evening we noticed cats drinking from it and the following morning someone unconscious next to it. Overall this early bad impression put us off using it. Our rooms were basic and the bathroom in particular required a good cleaning and to be painted. The rest was acceptable but certainly not luxury. Not 3 star or class A. There is a good secure car park. Unfortunately the keys to this have all been lost so someone from reception needed to open it. A small inconvience
Not for the person looking for peace and quiet
If you are looking for good central locaion than this is the place for you, but if its early nights you are after than im affraid its not. I spent a week here and unfortutately my apartment was right beside a pub where the music was so loud and you wouldnt get to sleep before 1am. That said the service i received was excellent and any complaints we had ( broken shower head) WAS FIXED IMMEDIATELY!! Was very impressed. It is very near a supermarket where you can buy your food very cheap! Its basic so wouldnt come here if i was looking for bit of luxury but very clean though! And it was a lastminute deal on the internet!!
