The staff are lovely, the location is good for those who want to be neer the harbour but the food overpriced even though good, drinks very over priced for Cyprus...
My main concern however was the Manager Mr Petros who was rude and abusive to his staff who all seemed to be afraid of him .
he in my opinion was too in your face when trying to get you to buy things in the hotel and very flirty wich was very off putting as he is not the youngest or best looking of men.
I was concerned mainly that he seemed to be abusing the staff especially the femails. I would also like you to note the hotel was in need of a good clean a nd a bit of money spent on doing up thE very dated rooms.
SORRY TO BE SO AFENSIVE BUT I CANT BELIVE NO ONE ELSE NOTICED THE CRUDE BEHAVIOUR OF THE MAN IN THE OCCURING BACKGROUND

This hotel is a total worry for anyone traveling there ,you have been prewarned!change hotels fast i recommend the aloe hotel for price and comfort.
the daphne hotel is not 4* more like 2-3* and the tour operator med hotel know this ,the hotel could do with a total refurb, compared to other 4* hotels the daphne is knowhere near .It would suit people from 17- 25 who just want to drink all day and not care about hotel.but for anyone else, dont stay there it will put you off cyprus for life.if you think self catering is a good idea think again all the pans etc were dirty v worn .I have traveled to cyprus 5 times and have never experianced anything like it .the daphne hotel and med hotels give cyprus a bad name, hope this helps

The location is excellent, veryclose to the harbour and the sea front. The acommodation is a little dated but is clean and the maid service was good with fresh laundry daily. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant served excellent meals in a pleasantly decorated dining room ,and breakfasts or other meals could be ordered during the day. Most rooms overlook the swimming pool which was rather cool but which will no doubt get warmer in the summer. There is a secure car park which was very handy.
Considering the cost of the accommodation it was good value for money ---but don`t expect luxury --if you want a flash place with all the trimmings it will cost you twice as much -and you will not be so well located for all the best that paphos offers.

After returning from one of the worse holidays in my life I thought it only fair to notify people of the appalling accommodation called the Daphne Apartments in Paphos.
On arrival at the apt there were mice droppings in the bed, building works going on over the road starting at 7am in the morning.
The pool was filthy with plaster and dust from the building site over the road. The pool is also on public display for everyone to see on the main road and there was no fence to keep it private.
On arrival and having been disgusted with the mice droppings in our bed we were asked to be moved immediately to another hotel, which has now resulted in costing us an extra £250.
Thanks.

The apartments have a very central location in Paphos. The apartments are very clean but not spotless. The decor is well worn and dated but acceptable. Try to get a pool view. The restaurant and bar are newly renovated and excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Off street car parking is available to the rear if you hire a car (key to car park available for a small deposit). The room cleaning service was good but intermittent. The rooms have very good air conditioning.
The self catering equipment provided is basic and cooking a complete meal would be difficult. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The balcony was a little small for sitting out on. The apartments are central and located off the main shore street. (Only very small beaches in Paphos), they are not too noisy at night. They are only about 20 sun beds around the pool for 50 apartments, so you need to get your towel on a bed about 9am. (People then leave their towels there all day even when not using the beds). The sun beds are free, and the pool area is well kept but very close to the road (watch the young kids). A pool table and shaded seating area is also provided next to the pool. Should you stay there - Yes if you get a cheap enough deal. The apartments are only average compared to Spain / Portugal, but probably good for Cyprus.
Paphos is a smallish, but tacky and heavily developed resort. Good points are that it is full of restaurants and bars (not much live music though). The resort is packed with English, but at least they are the family types and thankfully there are not many yobs. If you want a handy sun holiday its ok, but if you want something better try Lanzarote or Portugal.

we had just 1 night in the daphne apartments and it was such a good night! 20 of us went up for my birthday with living in cyprus we just wanted a night out somewhere different. apartment very close to bar street and resturants!
the apartment was clean and linen was all fresh and clean. Only thing i didnt like, it was a little bit cramped as we had 3 in the apartment and the pull up bed in the living room was very uncomfortable. ok for 1 night but would not have been able to sleep in the bed for a week or 2. pool is nice, local youths use this though aswell so can get a little cramped, but lots of sunbeds. the apartment says it had a kids pool (wrong, its a foot spa sized tub filled with filthy water)
over all very good night, but unsure if i would be able to stay there and feel comfortable for a week.
