First ever holiday in Ireland Sept 2005, drove from Cornwall and stayed in Carmarthen for the night before Ferry from Fishguard to Rosslaire.
Nice drive to Augrim, co Wicklow, visited Irish heritage centre on way to accommodation, stayed in holiday home next door to Lawless Hotel.
Accommodation very good, plenty of room, also able to use hotel, had a few very good meals at the Lawless, and the odd Guinness!
Plenty to see and visit nearby, Wicklow, Powerscourt house gardens and waterfall, Avoca, and of course Dublin.
Allow plenty of time for Dublin, so much to see and do! Recommend Guinness storehouse, book on the net its cheaper. City bus trips also good value.
I parked at Bray and got the Dart to Dublin, plenty of trains and saves a lot of hassle with traffic in the city.
A great weeks holiday, loved busy pubs with no smoking!!
Highly recommended.
