Solaris Apartments

Booked to stay at Solaris apartments, having checked out other reviews on Trip advisor and we weren't disappointed. It was clear that the studio we were staying in had been recently refurbished and was just by the side of the pool, perfect location. The whole complex itself is so central and yet is still so quiet at night - lots of sleep!! The staff are more than helpful and we took up the offer of booking a taxi to collect us from the airport which was great. My only comment would be and its a minor one - that the towels could do with being changed a bit more, only once the whole week we were there. Overall a great relaxing holiday. If you go, definately check out Janis Taverna and a walk round the harbour is lovely at sunset. We'd definately go back.

We have been going to Kassiopi for 10 years, staying in the Solaris Appartment Complex for the last 8 years. Solaris is just a few yards from the main square in Kassiopi but remains quiet and secluded. It has two nice swimming pools, a lovely bar where excellent food is prepared and served all day. The pool and surrounding areas are very clean as are the appartments. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Check out their website on www.solariskassiopi.com. It is just the perfect place for singles, couples and families alike. We like it so much that we book again for the following year at the beginning of our holiday.

Solaris apartments in Kassiopi are fantastic! We stayed there for 2 weeks at the end of August and we had a really great holiday. The apartments are of a very good standard - you can choose between the standard & superior. We stayed in the standard. The apartments were very clean and had all the amenities you would expect, i.e kitchen area, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, fridge freezer and balcony/terrace area. The superior apartments have recently been renovated and are very modern and spacious. The family who run the apartments are really friendly, helpful and will always go out of their way to make you feel at home - nothing is too much trouble. The apartments are in an ideal location - right in the middle of Kassiopi but at no stage do you ever hear any noise. If you intend to stay here contact Kostas via their website to arrange a taxi to collect you from the airport.

I have not been back long from my holiday of two weeks in the sun at the luxurious complex of solaris in kassiopi. The servise in the compex was excellent, you could'nt of asked for any better. There is two pools wich are surrounded by the sunbeds which was great, they were both a good size 'just right'. The bar (which done great cocktails) was in the middle of the complex with a pool on either side. The bar was very good for food, which was nice as the days you wanted to stay by the pool you did'nt have to go out for food. There was also good entertainment on at the pool bar on a night time, there was a quiz on more a less every couple of nights and other things were on like the greek night which was good to see and join in. We did not really go anywere else on a night time as we were happy in the complex with our cocktails, which we could not get enough of, that were alway made with a smile by the lovey bar men. The location is very good as it was a five minute walk if that, to the habour that has lots of shops and good restaurants to sample.plus the beach was not far at all, which was magenificent the water was so clear it was heven to be there. If you like swimming, i would recomend the aqua park which was brill. we went for the day at the start of week one then went again in the second week we enjoyed it that much. All the locals were really friendly, and the majority of them spoke good english. the holiday was apsurluitly fab, it was hard to leave when our last day came, i could have stayed it was that good. It is deffinetly a place you have got to go and stay at. If you like having fun, a friendly atmosphere and beutifull scenary then solaris is your place. I could go on forever. It is a definate value for money holiday and i would give it 110% of my vote to go there, so get your self along and have a good, fun and unforgettable holiday in corfu, it's a must definate do. sarah x

Solaris - The Best in Kassiopi I have been going to Kassiopi for the last 18 years, i was 3 when i went and have just been over to celebrate my 21st birthday! Me and my family have stayed in many different apartments in Kassiopi but have never stayed anywhere quite as nice as Solaris. This year we stayed in the solaris apartments, which were fantastic, very clean and all have free air-con!!! The sheets/towels are changed regularly and as for putting the loo roll in a bin - not really a great hardship!!! Solaris apartments are run by Kostas and family who are all lovely people and are very friendly and welcoming, and who can forget the barman Yani !! The apartments are in an excellent location right near the centre and equally as close to the beautiful harbour. If you dont fancy venturing out much then you dont need to as there is always plenty of amusing entertainment on around the pool, quiz nights, BBQ's and amazing Greek nights (the staff dance too -very good!!) - all WELL WORTH going. The apartment was very clean and spacious, definately the nicest apartments is Kassiopi. If anyone is debating booking this - then get it booked you will not regret it, i got home 5days ago and i have just booked to go again and stay at Solaris in August. Definately an all round accomodation, for families, couples or lone travellers. i would give Solaris 10/10 for cleanliness, friendliness and the apartment was excellent on the whole, very comfortable and chilled out. There is a wide variety of food available at the pool bar which is delicious- oh and who can forget the pools, they are lovely, very cean and the pool area equally as clean, there's a pool table and seating area out of the sun and recover from all that ouzo!!! Solaris is fantastic and i will definately be staying there again - i would recommend Kassiopi to anyone.

Arriving on 12th May, we were four of not so many guests at the Solaris. The staff were always polite and friendly. Whilst the apartments were clean, they were very small. We had to pay for safe deposit boxes, ok but 10 euros a week. We had to buy a toilet roll after the first one was finished , we were told "only one" The bed sheets weren't changed all week, the towels twice. There was no entertainment at all, even though it is advertised in the brochure, on the website and on the tv in each room. We do not feel the Solaris fulfilled our expectations this time.

I would like to thank Kostas and his family for making our stay there very enjoyable, love it there lots and cannot stop going back only came back around 2 weeks ago and am already booking next years trip there!!! I have been there many years in a row and cannot imagine a holiday anywhere else, it is fabulous there!!!! everyone is friendly and service is amazing!! We're not the sort of people who return year on year to the same destination, but we have made an exception with Solaris and have stayed in the small family-run complex four times in the past decade. Kassiopi itself is a lovely, tranquil fishing harbour which comes alive at night (though not to the extent that your night's sleep is disturbed!). We have some wonderful memories of Solaris and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The Tantis family are wonderful hosts who have always treated us very well: you will not be disappointed.

My 23 year old son with learning difficulties and I stayed here in October, the week before half-term. The location, just off the main road, but in the centre of the village is perfect, as is Kassiopi itself - we would definitely return to the village. However the apartments left a lot to be desired, and as I use this site to choose my accomodation, its only fair to give an accurate account. We arrived at 12.45 on a Thomsons coach, and were dropped off on the main road with instructions to walk down a dark and badly lit path. There was no-one there at all to take us to our apartment, nor any instructions of where to go. Eventually someone came out of one of the apartments and showed us the way to the owners bungalow where a man came out, and without any word of apology or explanation, set off walking across the complex between swimming pools and sun loungers, leaving me to struggle along behind with a heavy suitcase and my son, who has walking difficulties. The apartment we were taken to was on the first floor (I had requested a ground floor) and smelled like an old ash-tray. It was absolutely disgusting. One of the double bedrooms smelled better than the other, so I tried to move the bedding, and found the mattresses to be stained and ripped. The kitchenette had a film of grease over everything. The next morning I phoned our tour company and asked for another apartment. The rep was extemely helpful, and we were taken to a much bigger apartment on the same complex, which did not smell of cigarettes, but did smell damp and musty. The beds were quite damp, and there was no heating - essential in October for mornings and evenings. In Corfu toilet paper is placed in a bin next to the toilet instead of being flushed away - our apartment was only cleaned once (and the bin emptied once) during the whole week, and when the maid did come, she let herself in with a pass key without ringing the doorbell, even though it was only 9.30 and we were still in bed! Both apartments had dim, low watt light bulbs. I felt that the owners were not bothered at all about guests at the end of the season. The swimming pools and gardens are very well laid out, but the pool bar closed at 17.30 each evening. I booked a package holiday because I need to know where I`m going with my son, but if we hadn`t booked there were many lovely apartments overlooking the harbour that were vacant - no probs finding accomodation in October.

We have recently returned from The Solaris Apartments in Kassiopi after enjoying a wonderful holiday. These family run apartments are of a very high standard. We booked through their own website and stayed in block 3. The apartments are well equipped, the decor is modern and stylish with Air con in both bedrooms. The location is perfect, near the square and minutes away from the picturesque harbour. although being in a central position the location is perfect for relaxation next to the well designed pool area. Solaris Apartments are managed by Kostas Tantis and family who offer a friendly and professional service to their guests. Myself, husband and two children all look forward to returning. - Debra
