can only say i wont be visiting this hotel again.good points ,staff very helpfull and friendly,no more good points. bad points ,room not cleaned all week ,when requested clean towels midweek, was told this was a budget hotel by manageress and towels only supplied once weekly!!. Rooms are ok but a bit on the small side. The walk to lifts takes 15 to 20 mins can be tiring in ski boots ,did it all week as the bus never turns up , the hotel charges over 20 euros for 5 min run to morzine.overall avoriaz ski area is the best, and is by far one of the best ski areas ive visited.

" What a find!
We have... "
What a find!
We have just returned from a week’s stay The Ridge Hotel, and I have to say it was the best holiday that we have had in a long time, infact the best ever in The Alps!
We were immediately made very welcome by the friendly, professional staff who gave us lots of helpful advice as this was our first time in this beautiful village.
We loved the contempory style of this very clean, well run hotel. My husband and his two sons loved the sky sports on the big screen and my daughter loved the fact that she could connect Wi-Fi day and night!
But most of all we loved the fantastic food (even my fussy daughter was well catered for!) the very comfortable beds, super views from the balcony, short stroll into the charming village and the easy access to Ardents for skiing in the super Portes du Soleil (bus stop right outside) with easy parking at the hotel.
The sun shone, the snow stayed good for fantastic skiing, we met some lovely people and laughed a lot.
We will definitely return and hopefully in the summer as well.
But don't take my word for it, go see for yourselves!

" A group of 16 is never easy to... "

A group of 16 is never easy to organise for a ski holiday and it's always a worry when booking accommodation, as if it all goes completely wrong then I'm the one to blame...
The Ridge hotel was my best choice yet! We had a mixture of rooms and all where minimalist and clean. Very comfy beds and nice white linen.
Modern bathrooms were a blessing having seen too many French 1970's bathrooms in my time.
One of the best things about the Ridge was the staff... we all had a superb time and where really made to feel welcome with no question to annoying (there are always plenty of these with groups of our size!).
The cool looking bar is the focal point for the evenings and the cocktail list is one that has to be sampled - as we did on numerous occasions. It was half-board and we all rated the food served very highly.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to ski in Morzine and Avoriaz. It's definitely a great hotel for groups and makes a nice change to get service from a competent team that really know their stuff...
10 out of 10 for the Ridge.

" What a great place to stay in... "
Submitted By: Mr J Wilson
What a great place to stay in Morzine. We went boarding last winter and found the accommodation and staff at the ridge superb. Our hotel rep (Clarissa I think?) really went out of her way to make sure that we got everything we needed... she organised night time sledging and ski-dooing which was hilarious.
The food was fantastic each evening and after that we'd more than often end up lounging in the bar and enjoying some of the après ski shots. I've been to plenty of hotels in ski resorts and this one along with Morzine rank in my favourites. We went to Morzine as document snowboard mag rates it the best resort in the world and definitely understand why now.
My girlfriend who skis even managed some of the smaller jumps in the park with no injuries! I definitely rate Morzine and the portes du soleil. Great hotel, great staff and the best boarding!

" The plan was to go to Morzine for 2... "
Submitted By: Mr A S Howarth
The plan was to go to Morzine for 2 days camping, 8 lads on a stag do! But when we arrived at 10:30pm at night after driving from Paris! We couldn't find a campsite so we decided to book into a hotel. The Ridge Hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided excellent service even though we could only stay in the hotel for 1 night as the "Tour De France" was in the village the next day and 75 of the tour reps were staying in the hotel the next day. On the 2nd day the Manager said that he had a chalet free and we could all stay there. We stayed in the chalet that night and as we had enjoyed the stay so much, we decided to stay in Morzine for an extra day before traveling back to Paris.
The village was beautiful, very friendly people and atmosphere, there was always a bar/party on to join when you wanted and could sit back, relax and take 10 if needed!
