This is the third time we've been to Majorca and the best time we've been. The other hotels were good but not as good as this one, the hotel was clean inside but a little litter outside by the pool.
The pool was also big but the only problem was if you wanted a sunbed you would of have to get up early in the morning to put your towels out or they would be none left. The entertainment was really good for all ages and also the entertainment outside in the pool was good as well for the kids for example water polo....
The staff were really friendly and my kids always wanted to stay in the hotel because they loved it. The rooms were a bit small but every room had a pool view. The hotel was also next to all waterparks and only 5 mintues walk into Magalluf. The next time we come to Majorca we would be definitely coming back to stay in this hotel and we cant wait till we come back....

I have just returned from 2 weeks holiday with my husband and 2 children age 13 and 11. Having read the brochure we all decided that this would be a good place to stay as we have been to Mallorca before and not enjoyed it but thought would give it another go, how wrong I was. It didn’t get off to a good start as we had a 12hour delay because the plane was broken in Tenerife but they did put us up in a lovely hotel, if only we had the weather because that was the only good thing about Saboners. Rooms were not cleaned as often as they should have been, no clean towels or clean bedding.
The pool was quite clean but a little dangerous due to broken tiles on the floor of the pool in the shallow end, resulting in quite nasty cut toes. Pool area was a nightmare as you couldn’t get a sunbed and if you put your towels out early you had a little note put through your door telling you not to and the problem was, there just wasn’t enough sunbeds and what there was were broken as one other guest found out to the cost of a towel, pair of shorts and a cut backside, then something was done but it was a little too late.
Entertainment was useless in respect of daytime activities as it was 1 game of water polo and that was it, occasionally you could do archery or rifle shooting but you had to be 13 which was no good for all the children that were following the entertainment guy, there were a few sad faces. Evening entertainment was old hat and probably been seen by everyone at least somewhere. Staff were quite pleasant but very slow and sometimes if the children were at snack bar quite often ignored, don’t think I saw chef smile once or wash his hands!!
We were under the impression Magaluf and Palma Nova were separate resorts how wrong we were, example being out for a meal and a few drinks wandering down the streets and looked to one side and we were outside heaven (lap dancing club) 13year old eyes on stalks!! Shops are selling smutty t-shirts and tat nothing that you would want to take home as gifts.
Food is more likely to be pie and chips (everything with chips) than Spanish food unless you count Spanish omelette if you can get one. Has to be one of the worst places I have ever been and will not be going back under any circumstances. This place is Blackpool on steroids.
Commiserations to any families that have booked to go there. Weather was fantastic though!!!!!

This was the first holiday we had taken away with our two small children (ages 4 and 2). Was not sure what to expect from the holiday in Majorca, but have to say that it was brilliant.
The apartments were excellent. Very friendly staff, apartments very clean and well maintained, beautiful pool including the children’s pool and the entertainment during the day and the evening was the best I have ever seen. Various shows for both children and adults alike.
JMC reps from arriving in Palma and leaving were all excellent could not fault them at all. Arranged car hire for us and checked to make sure that we were always ok and if we had any problems.
Overall excellent holiday and can't wait to go back again.

I love this hotel. I have been coming to Mallorca for past 6 years and have stayed in this hotel on 4 occasions.
I am very disappointed with some comments people have made about this hotel. I have a 6 year old daughter and often take my sister of 16 and her best friend, also of 16 to this hotel.
It is one of the best in Mallorca it has lovely rooms, great staff and they offer good entertainment for people of any age.
I would recommend this hotel to anybody of any age, with or without children!

Although we'd been to Spain and the Canaries before, this was our first trip to Mallorca but we had such a fantastic time it won't be our last.
The apartment complex was lovely, with a nice big lobby, 3 internet stations, a 24 hour reception with nice, friendly and helpful staff and a decent sized bar and "disco" area.
The apartment itself was located a floor above the kids club and 2 floors above the bar/dance area but we never heard a thing from either of them. Maids came and did a linen/towel change and clean on Mon, Wed and Fri which was often enough. All balconies are very large with airers for drying cozzies etc, and patio furniture. The rooms were air conditioned and basically clean and tidy although a British electrician would probably have a heart attack if he saw the wiring, but that's not to say it's any worse than in any other European place. There are no grill facilities in the apartments so if you want toast you'll need to rent a toaster.
The evening entertainment was by far the best we've ever had on a holiday of this kind - most of the shows were professional and we saw a hypnotist, acrobat, reptile show, parrot show, salsa dancers... not to mention there was bingo for booze every night!
The pool area was clean and tidy for the first week we were there but we shared with Germans and Dutch and couldn't get a sunbed as they laid claim to them last thing at night. The second week we could get a sunbed but the pool area was often a mess because the English had arrived! (Why can't people put their used bottles, cans, napkins in the bins, for God's sake?!)
The pool was great - a deepish side and a shallower side and a separate little pool for the tots. Poolside snacks and drinks were nice, with a good choice and quite reasonably priced.
There is a supermarket next to the apartments which is ok for emergencies but you'd do better to use the large Caprabo one which is on Paseo Paris (I think) as it's loads cheaper.
We found Palma Nova itself lovely - the Son Matias beach (out of the Apartment complex, over the road, down the steps) was beautiful with plenty of beds and parasols for hire (3? each). Pedalos are quite good value at 9? for an hour. The beach was clean and tidy with soft golden sand scattered with tiny shells.
Most shops in Palma Nova are touristy souvenir shops but worth a look all the same. The further away from Palma Nova you go the cheaper things are. We didn't really visit Magaluf as we had the kids with us but we walked through at about 1.30am once. It seemed okay - just what you'd expect from one of the dance capitals really.
Restaurants in Palma Nova are quite varied - there are loads of English and Irish ones but some Spanish can be found if you look. We fell in love with the Restaurant Florida on Avda Son Matias, not so much for the food although it was very nice, plentiful and well priced, but for the service we received. Also good is the Sun, towards Magaluf. Sopranos Italian restaurant down the road from the complex is fantastic but quite pricey.
We spent most of our time traveling round the west of the island because we hired a car, but we did go to Pirates matinee which was fantastic, and Marineland which was way smaller than we'd expected - don't give up a day to go there - you'll only need a half day. Western Water Park is okay - we didn't see any of the shows though so I can't comment on them. Aqualand at El Arenal is really nice - it's also much quieter and larger than the other ones. If you can, get some transport to Santa Ponca or San Augustin either side of Palma Nova just round the coast - they are both very pretty and worth a look - especially if you like beaches, bays and coves. Also worth a look is Golf Fantasia in Palma Nova - 54 hole mini golf course set in among waterfalls, illuminated at night. It takes a while to go round all 3 18-hole courses and be warned: the cafe closes for food at 4pm!
If anyone's thinking of getting any body art done while away I can recommend Lord Tattoo in Magaluf next to Uncle Sam's Family Fun Bar(!) This is a new studio and is the cleanest on the island. Three of us had tattoos done and we had no problems at all. Roy the tattoo artist is extremely hot on hygiene plus, he'll give you a lollipop while you're "being done"!
All-in-all we had a fantastic time in Palma Nova and we all hope to go back to C'as Saboners.

My family and I which includes 2 children aged 1 and 3 and my in-laws who are in their 60's, booked a holiday with JMC from their 'Holidays for all the Family' brochure.
Our holiday was ruined by groups of lads/girls who were also allowed to book into the same hotel. I had to take my children indoors from the balcony on several occasions because of the nudity, drunkenness and swearing (and I'm no prude). We were all kept awake every night by groups of binge drinkers coming back from the clubs in Magaluf at 4am - 5am. One group of lads were actually put in the room next door to us and we phoned reception to complain many times at 4 in the morning.
We complained to the reps on site and filled in a customer service report. Nearly five months later after several letters and emails to JMC, I finally got a reply which more or less told me that because the brochure says that the apartments become livelier during the summer months then we should put up and shut up!
JMC customer service is the pits and has put me off ever travelling with a tour operator again.

On the night we arrived my wife and I almost burst into tears. The check in was perfect as was the transfer to the Apartments. The rep was lovely girl and told us we where staying in the best Apartments in Palma Nova. We couldn't wait. Check in was perfect but as we walked across the pool area our hearts sank.
Litter could be seen all around the pool and in it. The lift to our room was tiny and took 3 trips to get us our cases and baby up to our room. The door chopped us up several times. The apartment was very dated and tiny. Bed side table lamp wires hung out of the wall inviting little hands to play with. A strange wire hangs down from the living room ceiling to the light just at head height. The kitchen area was tiny and no oven 4 chairs around the table but where it is located you can only use 2 with any comfort. The TV. was a portable and the picture was terrible.
The next morning I woke at 8 a.m. to find that all the beds around the pool where taken. The ones that were left were broken. The Bar and Pool food was however quite nice and the bar staff were fantastic but on this the peak time of year only 2 staff were ever available so there is always a long wait for even a drink.
Palma Nova Gets 10 out of 10. It is clean and very family friendly. The best place we found to eat was on the beach front at a bar called Katie's. Great staff, Fantastic Food and Huge portions. We ate there 7 times over the course of our 2 week holiday. Magaluf however is a dump. 0 out of 10 for that hole.
We paid £2100 for our 2 weeks in the sun and we got about 8 nice days the rest of the time everyone was eaten alive by Mozzies. We feel ripped off a little as last year with Thomas Cook we had fantastic value for money in Portugal (Check out my review).
I am giving the holiday 9 out of 10 because a holiday is what you make it after all. We were with good friends and made some good friends. We had a good laugh and can't fault any of the staff who worked there as they were all very, very nice. Even the Thomas Cook rep was lovely. It's just for £2100 you expect a bit more for your money. Other families paid £1500 for the same 2 weeks with Thomas Cook. Now that hurts a lot.

I can’t understand the good reviews that have been done for this place as I wouldn’t recommend it. The pool area is good but the rooms are noisy with a bit of balsa wood for a door! We only got our sheets and towels changed once a week and trying to get a bed at the pool was horrendous, you had to be up at 06.30 if you wanted a good spot this despite the apartments.
Having rules about it that they didn’t enforce, some people even left there towels out all night with no repercussions. The bar/restaurant service was poor on a Sunday they were understaffed on one of the busiest days so you had to queue for drinks, food ice creams.
Also once the dour faced chef had been cooking the reception area smelled like a greasy spoon cafe. Overall for the price we paid I was disappointed. The entertainment provided was also embarrassing as a primary school kid could have done a better job.

My wife,5 year old daughter,18 month old son and I arrived at the playas c' saboners on the 5th august 06 with our 2 friends and their 2 year old daughter.
When we arrived at the hotel we were all initially disappointed with what we saw. Our room didn’t seem to be the same room in the brochure (it seemed a lot smaller) but we soon realised that clever photography was used to make the apartment seem bigger. (TIP: push the 2 single beds together in the bedroom and move the coffee table from the lounge area onto the balcony).
The kitchen area was well stocked and has a 2 ring hob, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment and a kettle but be wary if traveling with younger children as there is no oven so we found it very difficult to find "children’s food" in any of the many supermarkets that could be cooked without an oven.
The cafe area by the pool was a god send. There was a good variety of snacks and the service was fast and with a smile.
The pool area was good with a large pool and a sectioned off toddler pool and the surrounding area was always kept clean and tidy.
All the hotel staff from the receptionist to the maintenance guy were all friendly and courteous.
My only real gripe (and I am just being picky here) was there are 3 trampolines by the pool (which my daughter kept on at me for a go) but they only opened from 6pm till 10pm.
The hotel entertainment wasn’t really that great. The daytime activities seemed to be pool volleyball or pool volleyball but on a Tuesday it was pool volleyball!
The 10pm shows in the bar were better including a hypnotist, a reptile show and a parrot show amongst others.
The kids club was well ran but cant really comment on it as my daughter went once and enjoyed it but preferred her time in the pool.
The life outside the hotel was initially scary. My friend and I went out to explore the nightlife and find a few places to take the wives and kids. After a 5 minute wander we ended up at Magalufs main bar area (this is definitely not the place for a family night out!) every 5 seconds someone was offering free shots or 1st drink half price to drink in their bar, half naked women doing table top dancing on the bars balconies, etc, etc. although we found this appealing we thought we'd better not take the family here LOL.
The family orientated place to go was right opposite the hotel. There are steps on the other side of the road which lead down to Palma Novas main area although this wasn’t easy with a buggy (about 70 steps) it is well worth it. Hundreds of restaurants, supermarkets, various shops, play areas and street entertainers (be wary of statues. they are not what the seem lol). This stretch runs right along the beach which was very, very clean.
All in all we enjoyed our stay at Palma Nova and the playas c' saboners.
I would give the hotel and its staff an 8 (basic but clean and friendly) and the resort a 9 (Palma Nova for families and older couples. Magaluf for single lads and lasses (I wish I was 10 years younger!).

These apartments are AMAZING! Everyone is so friendly and it is close enough to walk to Magalluf for its fantastic night life! This is the perfect place for clubbing all night and laying around in the day! But on the other side it is great for a quieter night in Palma nova! me and my friends loved it and didn’t want to leave! The pool area is brilliant and the staff couldn’t have done more for you! The apartments and the whole area are great! The uncut pirate show is one of the best things to do! It was so funny and I would tell anyone to go you will have the time of your life, the clubs are well worth the price as well BCM night club rocked! And the Magalluf club passes were fantastic value! The weather was also great all the time we were there! The beaches are FAB as well they are a five minute walk away and are gorgeous! The only problem with the holiday was we went stopping long enough! If you were thinking of staying in these apartments DO IT they are such high quality and the price for staying is well worth it!

We (49, 45, 18 and 16) stayed at Playas C Saboners for 1 week at the beginning of September 2005 and would thoroughly recommend both the resort and apartments.
The apartments themselves were quite small but very clean and nicely decorated. We had a pool view from our balcony which was very nice. The swimming pool was also of a really high standard and the temperature always seemed quite warm.
We didn't really make use of the bar and entertainment at the hotel because we had friends staying at another hotel and always went to meet them. From what we saw it seemed nice though.
The apartments were situated in a quiet area which was good for getting to sleep, but were also close enough to walk to the main lively area at Magaluf. If you wanted a taxi they were also very cheap and the hotel would order one for you.
If you are going anywhere in Palma Nova or Magaluf I would strongly recommend the Pirates adventure. Our friends had been before and they enjoyed it just as much the second time because new things were added. If you do decide to go though, don't book it up with the reps at the hotel, there are loads of shops around selling cheaper tickets.
In all a brilliant holiday and we are hoping to go back to Palma Nova or Magaluf next year.

We were a party of 9 and had a really good time in Palma Nova itself.
Saboners was a slight disappointment in the fact that it wasn’t very well maintained (gardens were scruffy and pool wasn’t cleaned enough ).
Evening entertainment was very basic to say the least! Apartments were ok but the maid service left a lot to be desired.
I’m not saying we wouldn’t return but it would be as a last option. You also had to be up quite early for a sun lounger as most of them were taken up by people that had put towels on them and then gone out for the day! We found this happened on a daily basis, quite spiteful I think!
