We came back 1 week ago. We had a fantastic holiday. The entertainment staff Kasia and Joanna worked extremely hard and they are so sweet with the kids. My 12 year old wasn't bored because the activities kept him busy and he made lots of mates. My 5 and 2 yr old had a lovely time in the pool and in the little playground. Pools were lovely and refreshing. Evening entertainment was fun and the kids loved the mini disco/games. Robbie Williams tribute and Hypnotist worth seeing. The beaches are beautiful and very nearby. Plenty of restaurants to choose from although we ate at the snack bar at the apartments most of the time which was fine. Diablo Pizza down the road very good for takeaways. Only thing that was a shame was the British sun bed obssession!! You had to get up by 6.30am to get a sunbed or you were stuck. The guests on the ground floor were taking them into their apartments!! The Hotel should control this much better. Also they could do with cleaning the pools/pool areas a bit more - my daughter was amongst many others that got an ear infection. We made some good friends and the kids had a fab time so overall would recommend. Yes it is near Magaluf but you wouldn't know it. Thomas Cook rep very helpful.

Just rtnd from 14 nites at Ca Saboners and thoroughly enjoyed these appartments. Really spacious and were kept very clean with maids attending regularly and plenty of clean towels etc. Ideal for families with small children but not a lot going on for teenagers. The entertainment was quite poor but the location is brilliant for night's out and for restaurants and bars and very close to the beautiful clean beach. Bar staff were absolutley brilliant and very accomodating. There is a problem with sun beds but they said that if you see a bed reserved with a towel on for more than 30 mins then remove the towel and leave it by reception , so that's what we did. Overall great holiday and would recommend it to families with small children, try and request a ground floor apptmnt as they have a nice big patio and grass area, request it via email direct to Ca Saboners. Very good supermarket next door. Western water park worth a visit, get discount vouchers from MacDonalds and then buy discounted tickets from the water park on the day to return again at only 3 Euro's Child and 6 Euro's an adult for a re-visit. Pirates Beach Bar is a great place to eat and good prices. 20 Euro's for both Banana boat and Do-Nut's on the beach. Would definately go back but will book direct with Ca Saboners on line and book seperate EasyJet flight's for next May.

When we arrived after a 4 hr delay at Gatwick we were greeted by Rep saying the coach would be a bit late and to take a seat!! Wasn't too impressed as we had been up all night and were all knackered!!
Receptionist at apartments was lovely and we were impressed with the overall look of the apartments.
We were on the top floor but by the lift for cases and as there were only 2 flights of stairs did not find this a problem. I was slightly disappointed with the size of the apartment & kitchen area to start with but soon learnt to be very tidy!
What we did find awful was the behaviour of other Brits concerning sun-beds!!
I woke at 6.20 one morning to find all beds covered with towels and even grown men (NOT DRUNK YOUNGSTERS!!) asleep on them waiting for their families to come and take over. Most people did not materialise until 9ish and some even put towels on loungers then went out for the day!! How selfish!!
Nothing was ever done about this and some people in the ground floor apartments even started to put loungers on their patio area to guarantee them for the morning!!
Overall the apartments are really nice and we found the position to be excellent for whatever you wanted.

We have just returned from our 2 weeks stay, which didn't get off to a good start with a 4 hour delay. C'as Saboners apartments were great, they were handy for the bars and restaurants. We found Florida to be great value for money and the food great, the staff were very friendly to us and the kids.
The entertainment in the apartments was poor, and if you have kids over 9 there is not much for them that doesn't involve you giving them money all day. The kids club for their age group is poor as they are kept in a room the whole time which my daughter and friends found boring, ok for the younger kids. There is a park which is basic, so it was the pool all day, which is ok but I like to get her out of the sun for a bit, but she has nothing else to do. The sun loungers is a big problem unless you are prepared to get up at 6.00 every day for one you can forget it, there were towels on them all by 7.00 and no one on them until nearer 10.00. If people complained the reception would remove them but only from some areas and that nearly caused problems when the people who put their towels down originally came down and someone else was on the loungers they thought it was them who had removed the towels. There is a mixed age group of people staying in these apartments as its close to Magaluf we were lucky as our apartments didn't have any of the young groups of boys or girls coming in at 4.00 - 5.00 in the morning making a lot of noise, other people weren't that lucky.
If you do anything while here take in the Pirate Show is was great, we booked it through Thomas Cook including the transport, then discovered you can do its yourself cheaper, also you are not far from where it is shown so you can get a taxi there and get better seats. Our bus was last there so we were way at the back, so if you go to it go for the doors opening and get the better seats. The Sangria is rotten but food was nice and soft drinks were great. You can buy beer but its pricey.

My friend and I had a holiday at...
2 / 10
Jun 2008, Mrs J A Holland

My friend and I had a holiday at these apartments, we were aware that we would have to wait for our room because we arrived at approximately 12 midday, but we had to wait hours with our cases in a room which was locked when we arrived was not locked after that and people seemed to be able to walk in and out of it, so we felt we could not safely go away and leave our luggage. When we got into the apartment we were happy enough, there was plenty of room and the kitchen was well enough equipped. Also we had air conditioning and a television which we could get BBC1 and 2 which cam in very handy because we unfortunately had some bad weather. There was no extra charge for either of these services.
The cleaning was done on a regular basis although they did miss us out one of the cleaning days and we had to ask for clean towels and dispose of our rubbish ourselves. The pool was well maintained but where you could enter the pool at the shallow end was a slope and not steps with a rail and it would have been very easy to slip and fall. The cleanliness of of the rooms were adequate but the cleaning externally left a lot to be desired. We unfortunately had a fair amount of rain and there seemed to be sand in the rain and this left everything outside covered in a brown sandy dust. There was a pool bar and cafe and the tables and chairs were not cleaned for days neither were the walkways hosed down or the sunbeds cleaned which in my experience was always done early in the morning. This meant that the place was covered in this brown dust. I certainly would not have used the pool bar chairs as you would have been covered in dirt. In the two weeks we were there no one maintained the green areas, a hedge which was directly outside our apartment had grown a couple of inches. Also the bins for rubbish around the pool area were not emptied on a regular basis.
There was entertainment most nights but the children were encouraged to sit at the front and no matter how late you came back it was almost impossible to get a seat because the children were allowed to run riot, not really the hotels fault but not very conducive to a quite drink watching the show.
The only faults I would have with the apartment itself was that the beds were the most uncomfortable beds it has ever been my misfortune to sleep on, it was so bad that we had to change the mattress for the mattress on the sofa bed in the living quarters which was only a little better. The apartments need to buy new sheetsalso, the sheets on our beds were gossamer thin you could see through them and covered in stains, I don't mean they were unclean they just had so many stains washed into them. They were a disgrace. I would not return to these apartments.

Returned this morning from the Cas...

Returned this morning from the Cas saboners. We had a few problems when we was there. On arrival we was put into the highest studio they had up 4 large flights of steps and there was no lifts we was not offered help with our bags off any of the staff. Then we found we had 2 sofas that didnt even pull out. On the 2nd day we complained about the sofas hurting our backs and they tutted and gave us 2 extra blankets too lie on! Then when we got upstairs the maids had been in and not locked either the front door or balcony door and we found a dead bird on the balcony. It was very expensive for safety deposit box 23.50. The staff in the bar were absolutley fantastic tho especially toni and the small one (i didnt catch his name lol). For all people going to the cas saboners if you have any trouble walking or climbing do not book a studio as there is no lift. I would consider using this accomodation again but only if we was in an apartment. Also there is not many sunbeds and people tend too get up at 7am and put there towels out there. Also if you are looking for a quiet family holiday do not use as Magaluf is just around the corner and you get a lot of teenage groups looking for cheap basic accommodation.

hi, just returned from a fortnight at playas cas saboners with my husband, 17yr old daughter and her friend and could not fault it.
we had a few worries before we went after reading some of the reviews, but had nothing to worry about. people said the rooms were not cleaned very often, our maid came three times a week mon, wed, fri and we had clean towels and linen left, there is a big notice up in the bathroom asking you to leave any dirty towels on the side of the bathtub and you would be left with new ones, which we did. the staff were all really friendly and helpful, some of the entertainment was poor but we personally didnt go on holiday to sit in the same bar every night, your holiday is what you make it. we ate at florida most of our holiday and never had a bad meal, the staff there are also very nice and we found it to be one of the cheapest places to eat, highly recommended. there was a few stag parties and big groups of lads staying, but no trouble, there was just one group and they were thrown out after a couple of days as they wont tolerate any trouble. the pool area was very nice, plenty of sunbeds and always clean, if there was any rubbish it was other holiday makers leaving it so should not reflect on the accomodation, they are not there to clean up after lazy people, there were plenty of rubbish bins around!!! the only thing i would say about the saboners is we were in room 233 and there was quite a busy road around the back of us which could keep you awake some nights but wouldnt say it would stop us from going again. we also found a great place for pizza, diablo pizza, turn right out of the hotel and walk straight down the road for about 5 mins its on the right hand side, lovely big pizzas and only 13.50 euros, about £9 to feed all four of us. have to say had a fantastic time would definitely go again, please dont be put off by some of the reviews as we nearly were,.

after reading reviews of the saboners...

Jun 2008, lawlaw

after reading reviews of the saboners apartments i wasnt really looking forward to the holiday. i travelled with my mum and 3 year old child. once there i was pleasently suprised. the reception was really nice with internet acess , childrens games and so on. once in the apartment , all of which are accessable via the pool area - not ideal with suitcases and a 3 year old swinging round your leg begging you to go in the pool, we were suprised again. it was quite big, clean and well equipped. we did notice a funny smell in the bedroom but we couldnt locate the smell, tell you more about that later. the apartments are in a great location. turn right out the door and after a 2 minute walk you are in magaluf or walk down the 62 steps across the road and at the bottom of the steps you are in palma nova. if you want a good place to eat at the bottom of the steps is where you will find el mecca. an excellent meal and great value. we eat there 5 times during our hol. the stawberry gateau is delicious. the beach is only a 5 min walk away too. if you go on any excursions DONT book with your reps, turn right out of the hotel and just before you reach the end of the road on the left is a little excursions shop. use it its lots cheaper.dont use the supermarket outside the hotel head right out of the hotel again at the end of the road turn right again across the road there is a really cheap supermarket. back at the hotel the pool is really clean and there was always lots of sunbeds available. the snack bar is ok chips and burgers are nice but the breakfasts tended to be a little cold. great cocktails at the bar but it was really expensive. entertainment was also really good whish included kids disco, parrot shows, grease show and the birds of pray show. the staff were really friendly too. i thought that it may be a little noisy at night but it was ok. apart from one night when a group of youths decided to go in the pool until 4 am screaming and shouting. on the last morning the building works across the road woke us up at 6 am. back to the smell in the bedroom. on the last night i decided to start packing some things . i stood on the bed to look in the top shelf of the wardrobe to make sure we hadnt left anything. there was a plastic bag. i opened it up only to find 2 bottles of urine. this was the nasty smell that i had been experiencing all week. apart from this had a lovly week . would reccomend it just check your room first.

Hi, We stayed at the Playa Cas...
8 / 10
May 2008, Mrs R Dean

Hi,
We stayed at the Playa Cas Saboners and got home yesterday we were the first guests of the 2008 season.
We had a studio apartment which on the whole i couldn't fault it was a good size and clean and as we were on the corner we had a massive balcony looking over the pool and we were also lucky on that side as the sun didn't reach our balcony till about 10 and stayed with us for the rest of the day so at least we could sleep in a little later without getting too hot!
The reps were new and were getting used to it all but were very good but i think that this could be hit or miss depending on the crowd you get at your hotel. Kids entertainment was not the best I've seen but as i have no kids i spose i cant really comment!
My only issue was that the Air Conditioning was on heat as it was early in the season which meant we had to sleep with the balcony doors open which was unsafe. The safe cost us 23 euros for the week but remember most travel insurance policy's wont pay up if you have a safe in your room but chose not to use it!!
Beds were rubbish but having said that we have been to worse hotels!!
The pool was fantastic a great size and clean and was deep and shallow and had a seperate kiddies pool so enough for everyone to enjoy, sunbeds were plentiful and no reserving issues the only thing was there could have been more umbrellas but thats the only thing.
Hotel food not too bad and the bar had a good selection of drinks.
The only warning i have to any travelers to Majorca is the price of food and drink had risen substantially and the euro rate is not helping - average pint of san Miguel will cost about 3 euros = £2.60 ish so not as cheap as it used to be between 2 of us we spent approx 500 GBP just on food/drinks and a trip to the golf fantasia (11 euros) twice and marine land (20 euros each and not worth it)
I would go back to this hotel again if the euro improved so that the eating and drinking would be a bit better but should i go again i would definitely consider all inclusive more closely!
Anyone having booked at this hotel already rest assured you'll have a great time!!!

May 2008, Miss C Jones

I went with my B/F and our 16month son. It was our first family holiday and loved it from start to finish. The reception are open 24hours, very helpful and chatty.
My son loved the pool, it starts off shallow then gradually gets deeper, suited him and my B/F!!
We were happy with our bedroom and they provided a travel cot for our son. the sheets and rooms were clean and welcoming. The 'double bed' was two singles pushed together but i think that is normal for Spain. The only thing i would be negative about (i'm being very picky) was the flooring, it was all tiled through out and so my toddler did slip on wet patches from coming in from the pool and banged his head...but what toddler doesn't fall occasionally!
The kitchen was very well equipt with all the necessary bits. Having a patio overlooking the pool was fab. As was the childrens club, my son attended twice and didnt want to leave! he came back with paintings and drawings each time.
We visited the Pirates show which was fab, although our son did get scared a few times.
There are plenty of restaurants down the gentle hill (5min walk) and pizza take away places too. The beach was fab also, very clean and safe.
We would recomend this to young families, we loved it and would go back any day.
(look for last minite deals with Thomas Cook, 1 week for 2 adults and 3 year old for £700)

mrs H L Gimoli is totally wrong because this resort is really for the teenage or young age groups who like to go boozing therefore is not as suitable for familys who can not be in the partying mood and who just want a peacefull holiday.
this is a partying resort for the young.
this hotel was great we loved it and where going back again sometime.

Apr 2008, Ms AJ Bryan

I can't agree with most of the reviews, we went last year (see date!) In fact we enjoyed it so much we are going again in a month!! (And taking my adult daughter, and my in laws!)
The hotel is clean and tidy, and there is a seperate bedroom (which we won't have this year as daughter will be with us) The staff were very helpful, and the only reason I am giving it 9/10 is the evening entertainment! (which is not good) But there is plenty to do nearby. When we went in 2007, there were a few idiots (drank by the pool all day, and a pain) But something must have been said, as we never saw (or heard) them for the reat of the week.
And I have to agree about Katie's Resturant for food, which is exceptional..... we went there most nights and we are already planning to take my daughter there for her 22nd birthday.
The trouble being is, a lot of people expect 5* service for 3* self catering!! If you are expecting a room to sleep in (and the rooms face the pool so no noise from the road) and somewhere near the action, then this is perfect, if you are expecting to be waited on hand and foot, go elsewhere!! To be honest, I can't fault it!
Overall, for self catering, we can't fault it.
