Excellent organisation by Anatolian Sky. We had B/B in the apartments. Very clean and well equipped. Hotel well run and staff very, very helpful. Off season so relatively quiet.
Breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide choice but our one dinner in the hotel was a buffet that was O.K. but nothing very special and dearer than far better food in the village. We ate in the numerous restaurants in the village where the food was invariably of good quality and reasonable prices. The fish restaurants along the river were top quality with slightly higher prices.
The holiday was spoiled by the numerous dogs which roam the hotel grounds, the beach, which they foul and the restaurant patio where most people eat. They are generally very friendly but occasionally exhibit pack behaviour if a passing motor bike or pedestrian upsets them. As the beach was allocated "Blue Flag" status the dogs were in breach of their standards- not that the dogs knew that of course. Our apartment faced the road and the frequent barking of the dogs, one would start off and the others follow, made a complete nights sleep almost impossible. If you are in a room or apartment close to the road I recommend ear plugs or a shotgun!. We are dog lovers but do not appreciate them in these circumstances. We were told that, during the Winter, the Municipality round up the uncollared dogs and destroy them.
A shame because the hotel and village and Turks are lovely and a real "get away from it all"

Just came back, 2 adults/2 children (4 and 7 years old)
price (about EUR 2650,- for us 4 all inclusive, 2 weeks) was ABSOLUTELY great for this hotel/holiday - especially if compared to other ones)
staff mostly nice, food/restaurants very good, restaurant with great view next to beach, great garden with lot of palms and trees, 3 pools and 1 baby pool with small slide - our kids had a lot of fun
boat trip better to book directly (much more expensive in hotel) - extremely recommendable!
beach small, not beautiful, but ok - sea water extremely clear and clean-wunderful!
just a few negative points:
sometimes dirty toilets at pool and restaurant, no toilet paper ;-) (who would say thats not negative?)
sometimes unfriendly staff at pool bar
extremely stupid tourists at pools who reserve the sunbeds all the time with no real use of it, in our second week it was almost impossible to get even one sunbed for our kids or us adults - well, but thats not the problem of the hotel itself...

Lovely hotel, aesthetically pleasing, which sort of spreads throughout the village. Self catering apartments fine if not a bit small. Pool is lovely - although a bit cool in May/June, although the local ducks enjoy a splash! Tea and cookies appeared at 5pm everyday which was great.
Lovely grounds and relaxed atmosphere, watch out for the CCTV cameras in the lobby - a little odd!
The village is a genuine working Turkish one with a small market, incredibly friendly, uncommercial.
Smallish ok beach, plenty of boat trips.
Best restaurant by far - Golden Roof, fab traditional home cooked food. Some good walks to cinar beach - watch out for tortoises by the road, and some lovely river restaurants. In general a pleasant and friendly resort, with not much to do really, should have hired a car for a couple of days I think.

This was not our first time to the yucelen hotel we booked firstly in august 2006 when me and my husband went over to akyaka to get married. Anatolin sky could not do enough for us and the wedding was just amazing. The staff at the yucelen were so helpful and went out of thier way to make sure we were completely satisfied. On our return to the hotel in August 2008 we were met with open arms and felt like royalty. We have now just booked to return to the hotel in 2010. As well as all the staff at the hotel being so plesent the food is also extellent both in the hotel and most of the restaruants in the picturesque village.
