Apartments Ran De Mar

Not a lot of self-catering accommodation publicly available on the internet at this time of year, so the choice was very limited.
Not so good ... it is linked to the hotel Mar y Pins but this is closed in winter so no access; the accommodation is reasonably spacious and fine for 3 of us, but it took one change of room to get somewhere with working kitchen and central heating (Mallorca is as cold as the UK at night in January so CH is no luxury!).
The best ... the staff couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant; the location is great (very close to the beach) with a backdrop of pine-clad hills; the village is pleasant and run with typical good Teutonic efficiency; the weather was fantastic - sunny, amazingly clear and warm enough to swim; the island of Mallorca is spectacular.
A great holiday, so we're going back at the same time in 2006.
