Sun Rise Hotel

Just back from 2 weeks in Lesbos, the first week staying at the SunRise Hotel in Molyvos. The property had been refurbished during the winter and everything was spotless, it's just a shame they hadn't spent a few minutes on the finishing touches: gaping hole above the bathroom door etc. The room we had (525) had a fabulous view out to sea and of the mountains so we spent many an hour on the very large balcony watching the world go by. The hotel is rightly described as being unsuitable to those with walking difficulties, there were that many steps we took our car down to reception for breakfast in the morning. The hotel has a good sized pool but we only went there one afternoon as it was full of very noisy children and not at all relaxing. Location wise it's a 20 minute walk to the start of Molyvos but a further 20 minutes down to the harbour where the majority of the bars and restaurants are - alright walking down in the evening but paying 4 euros for a taxi back up is worth it. I think next time I would rather stay in Molyvos itself than at the SunRise even though you couldn't really fault the hotel.
