We visited Anfi after staying on a package holiday in 2001. We liked the atmosphere, and were impressed with the complex, but didnt believe it could all be true...and it wasn't. We bought a week at Anfi Beach Club off the net @ a fraction of the price we were offered. After... more

My Husband & I were roped into buying ANFI in 2007. The rules are not properly explained! We bought for every other year(evens) so we got a free week which we took Jan 2008. When the RAT entered our apartment I was a bit freaked but expected to be dealt with immediately!... more

Concrete Jungle
A concrete jungle of different resorts all owned and operated by the same company. The apartments are fine, though the comfort of the furniture and beds is terrible. The onsite bars and restaurants are ok but a bit overpriced as they have a captive market. There really isn't an awful lot to do. Night time entertainment must be the worst I have ever seen. A small Plaza with a stage where everyone has to stand and watch a poor show for around an hour or so! There is a ferry which is cheap and visits some local resorts the nicest of which is Puerto de Mogan. Again though apart from bars and restaurants, not a lot to do. We had a car which allowed us to explore the north of the island where anything worth seeing seems to be, and the drive down through the centre of the island is lovely. Neighbouring resorts of Puerto Rico and Playa del Ingles are absolutely disgusting places. Puerto Rico is Blackpool in the sun with grotty little bars and shops and Playa del Ingles is much the same but bigger. All in all, if all you want is to sunbathe then fine, but if you want a holiday with things to do then avoid at all costs. We certainly won't be returning. Not the nicest looking place and vastly over-rated. I should also point out that apart from the Havana Bar, the on-site bar and restaurant toilets were filthy.
Best place for a holiday
We first bought a fixed week at Monte Anfi and loved it so much that we bought a floating deluxe in Gran Anfi. We have been back there now 3 times and our kids love it, we go twice a year. First in June and again in August. The good thing is that you do not need to stay at the resort, even though it offeres all you need. You can go in a taxi either to Puerto Rico or up to the Europa Centre where the entertainment is second to none. I can't recommend this place enough, and we do not want to go anywhere else. The staff are very helpfull advising what to see, and with all you need to know. Trust me its worth the money. First class hotel, clean and very luxurious. Cant wait to go back.
Nice but....
Stayed for 2 weeks. 2 bedroom apartment, was really big. Very clean, and very large balcony. Acommodation was excellent, best in Europe, we stayed in. No match to USA. Large complex, with 3 big resorts. Only entertainment for 3 resorts, was 1 hr at night on a plaza, a small stage beside beach. Very disappointing, as could only stand to see. Only beer sold on complex was Tropical, which i didn't enjoy. Was 3. 50 euro. A 15 minute, up a hill, brought you to a small village, Very good food here, in different resturants, and 2 bars, with nicer beer, at cheaper prices. Very boring at night in resort. But taxi to Puerto Rica, is 4 euro, and loads of bars, and entertainment. So nice apartments, but no nightlife.
Enjoyable Stay at Monte Anfi
Stayed a week at Club Monte Anfi, Gran Canaria, with husband, son, and parents. Two bedroomed apartments, large and clean with a nice balcony. Great variety of pools within the complex, although I wouldn't really call them heated. Nice, clean resort, beach fantastic. Would definitly return.
Hotel Is Boring But Awesome
its a lil boring and expensive for the food but the rooms make up for it. jacuzzi in the apartments and massive balconys and stereos in the apartments! many swimming pools as well as a private beach. i would go back... wouldnt eat in the hotel restaurants again though....
Paradise on Earth
I stayed in Monte Anfi with my Boyfriend in 2004 and loved it! It can be very quite at night time and as we are a young couple did find it a little boring, but nothing that a €3 taxi ride to puerto rico didnt fix!! So many pools to choose from, you'll be spoiled for choice and the amazing beach with white sand just cant compare to the rest of the stone beaches around! Im going back this month again and i cant wait, the rooms are pure luxury and for some reason i didnt see one mosquito on the whole complex, which was nice!! Lovely little harbour thats great to swim off but the restaurants can be a bit pricey and you have to book to get into them. You'll never stay anywhere else again!
For relaxing... Exelent :-)
Bought one week in 2000, and love it more and more. It is a wery good place to relax from the rest of the year. Nice quiet place, with all you can imagine of fun, bath, food and shopping. It is also nearby Arguineguin, a smal "town" with many nice restaurants and people. Staying there is a total reloading of my batteries for a long time. We will be there again in 2005, and are looking forvard to 2 lovely weeks.
nice clean but boring
just came back from there - my mum lent me & my wife her week this year. nothing to complain about the apartment, it's very clean & well air-conditioned. shame the sun only hit the balcony for an hour or so in the morning... there is a nice view of the sea, some hills which look like they are about to be built on, and something in the distance that looks like an oil refinery. the 'leisure' pools seem perfect for children, or if you want a dip between hours of sunbathing on the concrete terrace, not for swimming though. we only had to spend 4 hours listening to a salesman trying to sell us another apartment or upgrade.. good for families, small children & the retired, unfortunately we were bored stiff after about 2 days....
5 Star Elegance
Simply the best! Excellent rooms, spacious and luxuriously eqipped! Excellent service! Luscious gardens, many beautiful pools and childrens play areas - poolside bars and full range of restaurants and shops on site. Imported white sand from the bahamas on the beach - and a full range of sporting facilities and games every day. This place is a dream - certainly the best on Grand Canaria! I love it - and have been every year for three years now.
Its a Dream !!!!!
I've been to Anfi twice now, and each time i go back i love it even more. My parents only recently brought the time share in Anfi, and it is one of the best things we have ever done. The complex itself is absolutely amazing and extremely clean. The apartments are wonderful and the room service is first class.(There really is no need to do any cleaning if u wish not to). The view from the balconys are amazing, and if you are lucky enough u can sit in a hot tub and view the island from your very own. There are various pools and the complex has evrything u need for your stay including a supermarket, newsagents, perfumeries including a hairdressers and a fully equipped gym and beauty parlour. The restaurants and bars are very nice and offers a wide variety of different menus to suite everyone. You can even have food deleivered to your room! Really what more could you want ? The beach is very nice and has specially exported sand from the Bahamas on it. It really is parasdise!
