We visited Anfi after staying on a package holiday in 2001. We liked the atmosphere, and were impressed with the complex, but didnt believe it could all be true...and it wasn't. We bought a week at Anfi Beach Club off the net @ a fraction of the price we were offered. After first visit, we bought a 2 week also at ABC off the net to take the kids/friends with us. 99% of what the reps told us was lies - free sunbeds, free water sports, freeweeks available to owners etc. However the hospitality staff in the bars/rests/receptions are excellent. I don't trust the reps and given the ownership struggles that have been occuring for the last few years, the reps will not be regulated and have impossibnle targets to achieve. We love the place for holidays, avoid conversations with the reps; who always promise they have something for us; which they never do, because we are owners of 3 x fixed weeks and it offers everything we want/need. Yes the rests are expensive, but Peurto Rico isn't & thats 5 mins in a taxi!

I first bought a 1 bed in Anfi Beach 8 years ago after doing the Anfi visit. I was amazed at the whole place and then bought a bi-ennial year which was not so good so upgraded to a floating week in Gran Anfi. Owning two weeks give me the advantage of belonging to the Anfi Vacation Club so we can swap weeks,and get a 2 bed which means I can take other members of my family. Visiting again March 09 with my grandchildren, it is so good for families. We ate at the new Indian Restaurant by the mini golf and had a great meal. We usually go into Porto Rico for dinner and can recommend the Las Vegas Steak Bar on the first floor of the shopping centre. We are always well looked after and the food is great. Taxi's are cheap. We visit every year and it is like a second home. The only downside is the value of the Euro which has made this year's maintenance charges a little expensive. Would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone.
Advice: Good base for seeing more of the island

I bought my 1st apt in 2007 in Anfi Beach a 1 bed and was really happy with it I upgraded 18mnths later to a 2 bed and again have been very happy with my time their. We still have the 2 bed and bought another 1 bed for November (I need my winter sun. We have only exchanged once as we like it at Anfi so much. I do find that on site it is expensive but because the facilities are 5* we just buy our food from the local supermarkets (not on site)and eat when we want to and then go down the town to have a few drinks as these are far too expensive on site. Sometimes the entertainment could be better and also I find it is not long enough as at home you go to see someone sing and you have either two 45mins or 3 half hour sessions, at Anfi you are lucky if you get 1 half hour from the singers that come in.
Overall I am happy with the cleanliness of the site as it has grown over the years we have been there and the choice of pools is fantastic. The staff are always very helpful and taxis are cheap enough.
The maintenance has gone up but only because the Pound has dropped against the Euro, hopefully it will rise again but I think not.

Advice: Some nice restaurants and the views at night are beautiful with Anfi all lit up.
Activities: Hire a car and get lost in the mountains you will find some lovely locations and views from up there

My Husband & I were roped into buying ANFI in 2007. The rules are not properly explained! We bought for every other year(evens) so we got a free week which we took Jan 2008. When the RAT entered our apartment I was a bit freaked but expected to be dealt with immediately! BIG MISTAKE! Oh they sent up a man who moved furniture about couldn't see anything so left. 2 days later we got fed up, with the constant scratching they sent up somebody who put rat poison under the units, not acceptable especially if we were using the sofa bed in the lounge! They say that the money men do not sell. LIE. they claim the beds on the beach are free for anfi club memebers. LIE! I hae since stoppe paying, yes I was paying over 5 years. I have been threatened by ANFI, when I called to explan that I could not afford it, with county court etc. We have paid nearly £3000 for a total of 11 nights at the resort. The maintenance charges seem to equte to £600 pa. you go figure If I ever stay there again it will be after buying somebodys week that they cannot use that year & are selling on ebay. You are buying into a LIE. I think it is iverrated & they definately overcharge. I have stayed in accomaodation of the same quality in other countries for a lot less

We are new members of Anfi and this was our first return journey staying in 'our' apartment for one week - all I can say is apartment is delightful overlooking marina, sea, plaza (i.e. restaurants, bars and shops), the beach and the evening entertainment. We found the apartment and balcony (very private) very spacious for a one-bedroomed apartment. The room is well decorated and maintained (the one thing that did spoil things is the 'flower box' on the balcony, we felt, these required more attention paid to them.
There is a fabulous 18-hole mini golf course - which even being non-golfers we found highly enjoyable. Food wise, we personally, found the selection very limited with the same things more or less in all the restaurants, day in day out - not very imaginative. My partner also felt that the restaurants need to widen their range of imported beers and not just have their local beer - which is not to everyone taste - we had to frequent Puerto Rico Shopping Centre and visit an English bar to get a decent pint. However, since our return, there is an Indian restaurant by the mini golf course where we found the food to be excellent and well worth a visit. Evening entertainment is very disappointing - we only found one act that we liked - the others were boring. The acts would start at around 8.30pm/9.00pm and finish either 10.00pm or 10.30pm. Well what can i say about anfi apart from they were true to the word in all they told us.We booked up with sovreign and dont get me wrong they were great apart from the hotel we were in the Gloria palace the staff were great but dont be misled by the entrance to the hotel which first impressions we were wow this is spot on until we went to our room which was more like a travel lodge apartment .The couch was more than well worn we had no kettle in the room or nothing.Then we were given the chance to go and view anfi i must admit at first i did think it was just 1 big scam but after the tour and we sat down with the reps and the explained all to us we jumped t the chance and we moved in a few days later to the beach club which we wished we had done sooner.The apartments are spot on no faults at all the resort is beautiful in itself it is a must see for all.Ok the restraunts and bars are a bit on the expensive side but they do have a local spar which has every bodys needs and is very well priced all the staff are freindly and can not do enough for you .As for night life you can get a taxi into puorto rico which is fantasic for nights out and food yes you do get hasseld buy people trying to get you to eat or drink in theire establishments but i found just say no to them and they will leave you alone.We found our fav bar there Tonys bar the staff and locals are great and very friendly would recomend it to anybody they also have a bar over theway to itcalled maggie mays which on a night have a kareoke which is always good fun ok enough final word go have a look for yourselve and you will see what everybody is going on about.

We booked an all inclusive holiday with Cosmos to another part of the island and it was dreadful! We experienced the Anfi Tour, we bought and moved in for the remainder of our holiday. Only one small thing wrong - we were told by the sales guy that there were no 2nd hand deals so we signed up for a floating week. On our return we discovered the Anfi owners club (UK) and since cancelled our Anfi m'ship and purchased a 2nd hand membership. Admitidly we don't get all the extra's but a big cash saving was made.

myself & my partner have been coming to gran canaria for the last ten years now and have always stayed at anfi after the inlaws bought a floating week for monte anfi, and without a doubt id say it has been our best holiday ever! everytime we go and it never fails to impress us each time. we are due to go back in october this year this time we are taking our cousinand partner and we are so looking forward to it, as everyone who writes on this blog will agree, the weather is absolutely spot on and i can swear each time we go it never rains and that has been nearly every month of the year, if anything it is getting hotter out there, you realy cannot fault anfi at all overall out of all them, the room is always top spec, i love the jacuzzi bath well the apartment is huge and caters for eveything you need and it makes it all much better with the air con for those sticky nites. and we love the balcony such breathtaking views you can't beat, you almost feel yourself gazing away for hours. but not only is the apartments out of this world, everything about it is fab, i love the main pool and the jacuzzi and bubble/masage pads in the pool they are great, loads of water entertainment to keep you busy for hours and the plaza mall is so handy if you feel like just getting out of the heat and going for a gander around! the food at the resturaunts are superb, you must try the musscles! and the entertainment is outstanding they even do water aerobics! i realy could go on and on but i won't bore you with that, all i will suggest you do is go there and believe it for yourself 5 star you realy can't beat.

Place is jist out of the world fantastic scenery and the loads of heated swimming pools including kids pools. Great security around the resort which is a must for families .We are going back next year and cant wait.Thanks to all the staff at anfi for making this happen especially SUPER MARIO who showed us paradise. Wow what can i say, deff recomend this to anyone wanting to go. have just purchased anfi beach club but not stayed there yet but been to club gran anfi twice different times of the year.
The cleaners are good equiptment and appartments top notch, friendly atmosfear even made friends with the person who sold us the appartment see her every time we been. going again this year, ive reccomended it to friends if you want to relax on holiday its a must, everything is supplyed for you right down to beach towles and shower gel even water in fridge on arrival.
I will never look at a package holiday in the same light again. ill never go on another package holiday actually, and with the package including rci travel we can go anywhere in the world with the same gold crown ratings.

The staff are very good and we had a wonderful time.
The weather is great, the apartments are great. Maid service, cleans etc.
We could not fault the place.
We think a 6 birth is the best as you get two double bedrooms with individual bathrooms. That's fine for 4 people, because the others sleep on the sofa which converts into a wonderful bed. I know cause I slept on it!
But if someones sleeping in the lounge then it inhibits the other slightly.
So having a 19 year old daughter she gets here room with her girlfriends and we get ours, sorted.
We would recommend Anfi to anyone.

well what can i say again,what a beautiful resort,back again for our honeymoon this time,just reading other reviews how they can say it was filthy ,what you can eat off the floors,so clean, the man did say he had stayed in the beach club that was the first to be built,perhaps he had the first room ever built but i have been in the beach club too its great,so dont take any notice.if you dont like it there then upgrade to puerto lovely even better. i have stayed there too.well anyway please visit you wont regret it, paradise.

One word to describe ANFI........ Paradise!
My family have 3 weeks in Mote Anfi and have been going there for the past 9 years.
The resort is gorgeous only one complaint about it is that the staff in the Havana Bar are not very friendly and takes a long time to be served but apart from that nothing else that could fault!
Good for all ages, safe and always something to do.
Would definitely recommend

as i walked into this hotel it felt like a dream. we booked a holiday for 2 weeks and stayed in a different hotel the 1st week then moved for the second. we had accidentally booked them overlapsing therefore went and booked in and looked around, fell inlove and moved out of the other and straight into that one.
Whilst there we had everything on site pretty much shopping centre variety of restraunts a beach a big pool, gorgeous gardens and a lovely room. just to feel that you had the freedom. with its own island that you crossed a bridge to. it was good that even if in a differnet hotel you could go into the other "Anfi resorts" facilities. I would definetly go again and wish you could go yearly but it has a 4 yearly stay rule for the chance for others to experience its individuality.
i would most definitly recommend this and hope people have just as much fun as i did !
Advice: Its Amazing And You Will Love It For Its Needs To Suite Everyone.
