After reading the previous review just before going on holiday I must admit, I was panicking! However, the hotel was lovely with great facilities in the rooms and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. There was no longer any building work going on and there was no noise from the school across the road. The breakfast consisted of a choice of three cereals, watermelon, yoghurt, toast with honey, jam, marmalade or chocolate spread, bread, cheese, ham, salami and also some salad items. Maybe not a traditional English breakfast but definitely managed to keep us filled up until late into the afternoon!
As for the sun loungers...unfortunately it wasn't possible to put the loungers into a 'lying down' position but there were cushions on them so they weren't uncomfortable.
The hotel is situated in a spot which is just close enough to town for a stroll in to the shops and tavernas but far enough away to not be disturbed by any of the 'town noise'.
The hotel doesn't have a pool bar which has its advantages and disadvantages. As there is no pool bar you can take your own food and drink down to the pool and there is no noise at night. However, it does make it harder to get to know other people at the hotel although there is a bar about a 2 minute walk from the hotel where we had the chance to meet people.
We had a fantastic time. We would definitely go there again and we would recommend it to others.

Room comfortable and modern and hotel staff / manager excellent, apart from that, location appalling - building work in progress next door (including mini diggers and workmen leering over pool), music school across the road unfortunately pupil were amateurs.
Uncomfortable sun loungers, pool on the back road like a dirt track, overlooked by offices, breakfast facilities poor, would not recommend.

What a delightful and well run hotel. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Ideally located minutes walk from the new harbour and pleasant unspoilt beach. Just oppsite is a large bakery which is ideal for brunch time if you can fit it in! As the buffet breakfast at Filia is top notch. That is if you enjoy German or Greek style breakfast, which I did. Omlette, honey on crusty bread, pancakes, fresh fruit and cake are my favourite items to choose from.
The rooms are of a decent size and with the added bonus of air conditioning are very comfortable. All rooms have a pool view, the only down side is that there are no high dividers at the balcony, therefore there is lack of privacy from your neighbours. However this wasn't a concern as everyone seemed pleasent.
I would go back again mainly due to the ideal location. If you're not sure were it is from the ferry, ask! There's no need for a taxi to transfer you as it's only a 2-3 minute walk away.
