Kirini Suites

When you enter the hotel, I'm sure you are going to think twice about what you have gotten yourself into. Trust me, that will be the last doubt you have about the hotel. We stayed at the Katikies Suites (now Kirini) in July 2005. It was absolutely amazing. We had booked a Superior Suite, but when we arrived the manager upgraded us for free to the Honeymoon Suite (a 250 Euro per night upgrade!). We had a private wading pool overlooking the sea, and had the most gorgeous views ever. We stayed at Kirini for our honeymoon and my husband and I have never had a more charming/wonderful experience. The Service is what makes this hotel a stand out. You look up from your chaise (great seats btw, very comfy) and someone is there immediately to get you what you need. They basically will accommodate anything you ask for (not to mention they give you a cell phone so you can call them if you need something when you are off the property). The Kirini can be an awesome experience--provided that you get the right room. Initially, we stayed in the junior suite (465 Euros a night), and the experience was mediocre: the bathroom was dark and cramped, and the room generically "charming." But the next day, the manager upgraded us to a much larger room with a private terrace, and the experience was just fantastic! The manager is a top notch professional. All in all, it's a stylish hotel (the pool area is breathtaking) with service to match.

The Kirini Hotel is fabulous in every sense of the word from the location, to the accomodations (room/suites are decorated beautifully), the facilities, the food and the service (at your beck and call 24/7). We are travlers who like to stay at The Four Seasons or similiar hotels so we are quite critical if our accomodations are not up to our standards, and this was. Katikies Suites are not the same as Katikies Hotel, but they are just as beautiful. My husband and I stayed at the Suites and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is top-notch, luxurious, beautiful views, great service. The rooms are very small, however, and it is an expensive place to stay...other than that, if you can afford it, it's wonderful!

After staying at the Majestic Hotel one night we were ready to leave Santorini, luckily I had booked 4 nights at the Katikies Suites. From the moment we arrived the Manager greeted as with Champagne and gave us a tour of the property. The staff was excellent and the food and service were 5 star. The view was absolutely amazing and the pool was great. It is definately paradise. We will definetely be back to Katikies and maybe next time try staying at the Katikies Hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for several days during our honeymoon throughout the greek islands. We were lucky enough to score room #22 - it has a beautiful view of the water and a cute little dip pool for when you get hot. The service at this hotel is amazing. Not sure where my original review has gone but... I actually stayed in the same room as the last reviewer but have to say i disagree with everything said... The food in the suites was great at all times, although a little expensive. Service became a little embarrasing as they really dont let you do anything yourself, perfect. Lots of steps etc etc but if youre planning to visit Santorini you'll be aware of this already. Although both properties names are similar, they are 2 completely different properties. It seems the Suites have tried to capitalize off of the Hotels mostly favorable reviews. Also, in my opinion, their website is a little deceiving. For example, the 2 properties look similar, but they have 2 different staff running each. We stayed in room # 22 for 6 nights in June 2005. The room was dusty and musty, and there was 1 small air conditioner in the bedroom. Also, outside the entrance was an exhaust vent for a propane heater somewhere.... more
