Arrived at hotel 3:00pm Sunday 14th November. Receptionist who I might add was very nice and helpful (works in the wrong place), told us if we went right away to the dining room we would still get lunch (big mistake) It is very dirty, I saw the other reviews and chose to ignore and make own mind up to our peril. We were in a group of 10 adults looking for relaxing holiday. This hotel has big issues on hygiene and I can assure you I'm not kidding. The shelf that the wine dispenser sat on in the dining area is stained with drips coming from the wines can you imagine the bugs that are on it. The tables are filthy, walls dirty, skirtings thick with dirt, floors dirty. Staff totally ignore your requests for cups, butter etc. Think the problem lies with the management not employing enough staff. We moved to another hotel.

Arrived with wife and kids (10 & 13) on the 21st October 2010.This was our second time in the Lanz. Very quick at reception booking us in.Safe was 24 euro but you get 10 back. Apartment was basic but clean and tidy. Balcony overlooking pool. All lifts were working. Pool and bar area very good although we did had two windy days. One of these we found a small area around the back of the apartments by playground which had no wind and was great for the windy days. Local beer in bar is 2.70 euro (same as last year). WAtch out as if you have a half they charge you 2 euro. 25 min walk into town. 4 euro in taxi back at night. Town a little quite but still lots going on.You can get chinese for 4.50 all you can eat. We tried 3,the were all great and good value. Best bars and cheapest include the scrum and tackle and Bluebells. These were either 1 or 1.50 for a large beer all the time. Generally other bars were between 2 & 3 Euro's.
Great holiday, apartments, weather, beach, water park, beer, food and resort. Recommend the apartments aswell as the resort.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in january the weather was rather good for that time of year.loved the staff nicol was very plesant as were other staff.really enjoyed the holiday even though the park was closed till april we found good places to eat. the beach isnt too far a nice walk if you ask me,the pool may be a little cold, however the entertainment was acceptable parrot and wild bird shows karoke was the best, only coz i won joking :)
if you ask me you get what you pay for, this was the first holiday ive been on alone with my partner and it was good. the rooms were acceptable towels changed every 3 days etc. but i wasnt in there much as the weather was really good and wanted to make the most of it. the bar food was good cheap for the amount you get on your plate definatly a good place to go :)

'You get what you pay for' seems to be a popular comment. Have just spent 10 days at Lanzarote Paradise Apartments over New Year. Have read reviews which ask why some people complain. Yes the apartments were acceptable as far as cleanliness, however I did not pay for a large area of rusted metal on the bath with jagged edges. (Very dangerous!!). Had a child cut him or herself on this it could have caused a nasty cut and I think Thomas Cook may well have been in trouble. I reported it to the rep Marie, and I showed her photographic evidence. She agreed it was not acceptable. On the day we left I was talking to another guest who said that their apartment had the same problem, so this was not an isolated incident. I wonder if any action will be taken. We booked to go on a trip and we were given the wrong time for pick-up from the hotel. After waiting for half an hour the receptionist checked for us and informed us we had been given the wrong pick up time.On a positive note I can say that the staff were friendly and helpful. This is not somewhere that I would rush back to!!!

Family of four arrived on the 22nd October just before half term. Kids 12 & 9. Reception very efficient during checkin. 24 Euro for the safe for a week but you get 10 back. Apartments basic but everything you need, TV is expensive at 1 eiro for an hour. Did not use it hardly anyway. Bar is slightly expensive at 2.70 pint of Cruz Campo, £3.50 for Fosters. We had a very windy first day but the rest of thr week was calm with plenty of sun.Poolis good and clean.Did have 3 or 4 cockroaches but we checked the apartment every night on arriving home. I think they got in under the front door as we were on the ground floor. Apartments about 25 min walk to main bars and restraunts but you can break this up by stopping at the bars on route. Closest bar is about 10 mins, you can get a pint for 1 Euro in the Clock House bar not far from San Bastian.Taxi back was about 3 euros and the buses to the beach are alway on time. Overall very good apartments and bar staff were very pleasant. You get what you pay for. Would definatly go back. Its only £1500 for 2 weeks oin August for next summer.

Just arrived back from Costa Teguise and the Lanzarote paradise apartments. First time in Lanzarote and was pleasantly surprised. The apartments were very clean, large and had everything we needed for a week long stay. Arrived at midnight, straight forward book in, (5 mins). Thankfully they had kept the bar open for a well earned pint and a meal. Bit of a walk down to the main thoroughfare, (300 mtrs), but well worth it for the restaurants especially the Italian and Chinese. Prices are very reasonable with a meal in the Italian restaurant around 25 euros for 2, (with wine). The meal in the chinese was around 16 euros for a 2 course meal for 2. The paradise apartments lay on a free bus to the beach everyday which is well worth the trip as there are good shops, pubs and cafes and you can be back up around 5pm. The bar in the apartments is a bit steep for beer, 3 euros a pint for local stuff while The Cavern down town sells the same stuff for 1.60. The meals however in the paradise bar are very good and are cooked fresh. All in all I would recommend the Paradise apartments for a nice relaxing break.

after reading some reviews on this site my partner and i were nervous about what we were going to be faced with. on arrival we were more than happy with the accomodation, it was clean and spacious and safe. the only problem we had was that we had a few ants in the boiler room but a chat to the receptionist we were given a spray that solved the problem. the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed them.
although the apartments are far out we knew this when we booked it and it was a nice walk in to town and that was with our 9 month old daughter in a pram.
i firmly believe you get what you pay for, so if you go here expecting 5 star quality then obviously you will be disappointed but we were more than happy with what we paid and goy in return, we have no hesitation in going back there. when reading some reviews i always get the feeling that some people go on holiday looking to complain about things jst to get money back, jst my opinion though!

I read all the reviews of this hotel before i went and wasnt looking forward to staying there! i even took my own cutlery!
But when we got there it was brilliant!! i honestly can't see what people i think people thought they were going to be staying at a 5* or just being plain picky!
We stayed for the week and the cleaner came in 3 times , we had all clean sheets every time and all the plates and cutlery were clean and a few euros in the t.v lasted us all week.
we found we could use the other pool next door as its owned by the same people that owned paridise club ( the pool with 3 bridges) and cuz no one else new about it we were the only ones there all week,( you can see it if you go to thw onsite shop over the fence)
the food at the bar was quite expensive but we ate out in town anyway.
A taxi into town was about 4 euros and on a sunday theres a market in teguise which was really good and a taxi cost us 15 euros... but be carefull of some of the sellers from Africa cuz they had bagged things up for you before you even said you wanted it!! so just say no and walk off.
We went on a free trip for blanket making and wine tasting and that was really boring and i wouldnt recommend that to ANYONE!! .
Overall, the apartments were great i would definitly go back and don't let anyone put you off who gave it a bad reveiw.
( by the way i'm 15 and went with my mum(36), nan(62) and younger brother(11) and none of us found the apartments boring or dirty!! ) there's also a ball court and swings etc for kids to play on.
Once a week the reps do a rep night at legends bar in town and it was sooo funny!!, we had a good laugh and had a go on the rodeo bull there, if you want a luagh you HAVE to go there.
If your going there soon have a great time and enjoy it cuz it's not bad at all trust me! I honestly don't no what people moaned about! for what you pay it's great value!

just back from a week at the lanzarote paradise club beds so narrow my husband and i were frightened to turn round incase we fell on floor we spent the first night waging war with cockroaches when we spoke to reception they said they didnt have a problem with cockroaches but handed us a half used tin of spray we had this problem all week the one time the maid emptied the bins she left the door unlocked we were on the ground floor and the kitchen window lock was broken only to be replaced by a chain which allowed the window to slide open 4inches the shower was a joke took the four of us 2 hours for us to have a hot shower as the boiler only heated up a small amount of water at a time the blankets were like old army ones and the settee had cigarette burns on coach and after a few days the horrible mustard paint on the walls and ceiling began to make the place worse than first impressions we have been going to the costa teguise 2 or 3 times a year but never had any cause to complain but this was an experience not to be repeated staff on reception always looked so glum
