If you are looking for an All Inclusive Hotel then you really do have to try this hotel. I read alot of reviews before we left but this is an amazing hotel and I am so glad the reviews didnt put me off booking it. The rooms are a reasonable size, towels, robes and hairdryer... more

A Good Hotel from donzi
Had a good holiday at this 4 star hotel.The breakfasts at the hotel were not very good on the hot meals side the same for 7 days with no variation.Lunches were better,dinner was best in my opinion.We were on an all inclusive basis.This option stopped at 22.00hrs very strange as this was when the entertainment started the place emptied.So be warned you must buy drinks after this time,the predominant germans did not stay as i observed.The pools were heated which was fantastic if you have children.Rooms cleaned every day,hotel spotless,TV is no good unless your favourite channel is CNN.I have been met by more cheerful staff than these 2 unhappy characters at the door to the restraunt although the 3rd male was cheerful and happy with children.I can imagine the sunbed scenario at height of season would be difficult.Small complaints,i would say overall this was a good hotel.

just spent aweek at the lucana in playa de lingles and i must say we had afantastic holiday. from getting there to coming home was a memorable experiance. the rooms were very clean, towels were changed every day, all the staff were very friendly. the food was above average and resteraunt staff very helpful and friendly. they have one large heated pool then a walk down through the grdens to the spa pool with two jacuzzis. a pool bar that could have done with extra staff at busy times but the set up of grounds around hotel are really nice. the only drawback is the all inclusive finishes at 10 oclock, but i would certainley pay another visit to the lucana

I have just returned from spending a week at the Hotel Lucana in Playa de Ingles, Gran Canaria. I travelled with my husband and two friends. We went All inclusive. We had a fantastic week. The staff very friendly and attentive. The Hotel, Restaurant and pool areas were spotless at all times. The food was excellent, the rooms very clean and comfortable. We went for a chill out holiday and thats exactly what we were able to have. We all agree that we would definately be returning to this Hotel. We would not hesitate to recomend this hotel to any of our friends.

Hotel Lucana is one of the best hotels in the area. Food is very good, clean, 2 good heated pools, and quiet. The best thing is its out fo the main tourist traps but near to the beaches 10/10

Hotel Lucana. The hotel was very clean & tidy & the first impression is very pleasing to the eye. During our time the staff were friendly & helpful. The room in general was of a bland decor which needed brightening up. Maid service was daily with clean towels supplied everyday. Towel robes were also supplied which could be used to walk around the hotel & also beach towels for use around at both the pools. The beach was only 200 metres away with a lovely path going both ways allowing you good scenic views of the island around Playa del Ingles. The buffet breakfast was of a mixed selection but you needed to vary your choice daily. The lunch & evening selection of food was superb with plenty of choice but be aware of the dress code (no swimwear or sleeveless T-shirts) smart casual dress! The hotel guests are mainly a mixture of German & Italians so if you want to practice your language skills then this is a good place to stay at. My only criticism is the constant episode of people reserving pool side beds & not using the location till gone 1400hrs each day. Very frustrating if you genuinely want to use the pool but the management is very ineffective to stop this activity even though a small sign is displayed. Taxi fares vary from the Airport, but generally 30 Euro’s during the day to around 40 Euro’s after midnight. Taxi’s can be pre-booked or transfers arranged for around the same price. Overall in general this is a lovely place to stay & I would defiantly stop at this hotel again.

this was our first holiday for my girlfriend and I. When we got to the hotel we were pleasantly surprised. As you walk in you notice straight away how clean this hotel is. There is polished marbel everywhere. We went all inclusive and weren't dissapointed. The food was a great selection and very nice. The staff there were very friendly and made our stay there great. The hotel has 2 pools, one is a smaller pool and has a jaccuzi around the edges. The gym was outside and wasn't very big but had everything I needed to have a good workout. There weren't many british people there, it was mainly germans. This was great because they were older than us, which allowed us to have a very peaceful holiday. There is loads to do in this area but there are a lot of timeshare touts on the street that are very anoying. We would definately go back to this hotel again. If you wish to go on any excursions then you should book through your hotel reception. We had a bad experience with buying tickets from a seller on the street.

Had an enjoyable holiday based at this hotel last year, although there was always a problem finding a table in the dining room especially in the evening - you either queued up prior to the opening or waited for an hour or so later. Basically more guests than seats available. However there was a lovely little beach less than 5 minutes walk away - El Veril beach, so returned again this year as sometimes better the devil you know....... Shock - the whole of the beach area is fenced off currently with signs saying ' sorry for the inconvenience we are making improvements to the beach'. Looks like pretty major works with heavy plant working every day - monday-friday. Obviously still have beaches either at Agustine or Maspalomas but now a 15-20 minute walk away and not so relaxing. Hotel still nearly all German customers - be early for lounger by poolside ! Quality of evening food quite good, breakfasts lack imagination unless you're happy with continental.

My husband and I were very impressed on the clenliness of the hotel.The food was not bad,but breakfast became very samey after a few days!Eggs and some kind of chopped ham. The majority of guests were German hence all the sunbeds were reserved by 7.30am.The odd one even the night before,and secured with baggage straps!!! Day four I am ashamed to say I joined the battle,with my husband takeing photos from the ballcony!Did I feel a fool ...YES!!!!,but if you cant beat them join them!!! On the whole a nice hotel.Would I stay again...no.Playa del ingles was not for me.No proper centre and a bit too comercialised for me.A trip to puerto di mogan is a must for everyone,and will definatley be on my list for future trips!!!!

My boyfriend and i stayed at the Hotel Lucana in May 2006. We had a lovely time. The weather was gorgeous, the hotel was close to all amenities and the pool was fab! Our room itself was on the small side, however when your only sleeping there it wasn't an issue! The beach is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and is gorgeous! There are plenty of things to do on the beach like banana boat, pedal boats etc. The good thing about this is there is a sectioned off part of the beach for all this so it is still very safe to swim in the sea and not get worried about lots of pedal boats been driven into you!! All in all we had a great time, the Hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. We stayed half board and the food was lovely. I'm a very fussy eater and they were able to accomodate this as there was a vast selection of a buffet meal.
