very good
from A TripAdvisor Member
Between the 23rd of December 2007 and the 4th of January 2008 we (Belgian couple 55+) travelled around the imperial cities of Morocco. We chose to stay in IBIS Moussafir Gare hotels in Casablanca (1night), Marrakech (4nights) and Fes (4nights) as they were close to the railway station and in Sofitel Diwan in Rabat (3nights) as Ibis was badly located. We would not change this choice if we would do the same trip over. In every Ibis hotel we found a nice and clean room with bathroom (shower with plenty of hot water, airco)...

Handy location
from Malbear
We chose the Ibis principally because of its close proximity to the railway station. We used Fes as our base and made train trips to Meknes and Casablanca. The value was extraordinary as the room was very well furnished and there was a good breakfast with both Moroccan and European food. There was also a very attractive garden and pool which my room overlooked. One of our group even had a small terrace facing the garden. Although there is too much to do sightseeing in Fes to spend time in the pool, I did use the sun loungers a couple of...

Don't expect a key
from robduncan
Stayed at this Ibis during our trip round Morocco. Decided on the Ibis based on the trip advisor reviews, it's close proximity to the station and the lack of any other decently priced accommodation in festy Fes. Hotel was less than a minute from the station (handy because all the petits and grands taxis were on strike). Check in was crappy, mainly because a bus full of ze germans had just pulled up. Finally got into the room, but we left without a key. So went down to reception, told that key was lost and then later it was broken....

Value for money, but still a small room
from meandrey
We stayed at the Ibis Moussafir in Fes for 4 days in December 2005 and the main reason we booked there was that we could not get a room at a Riad in the Medina...everything was full! Actually, it was an interesting change from the Riad in Marrakech, as we got to see the new city and the people living in areas that are not swarmed by visitors. So we had dinner at restaurants with many locals and we had tea and waterpipe at a cafe with only locals. When we went for late lunch to one of the top-rated restaurants in the Medina we were all alone!...

A good choice for the airport or train station
from ectomorfo
The Hotel Ibis Moussafir, in the Ville Nouvelle of Fez, is very well located for anyone using either the airport (the terminus for the bus to and from the airport is right outside the hotel) or the station (just across the square from the hotel). It is, therefore, already well worth bearing in mind on that basis alone. For sightseers, it is still no more than 10 minutes from the Medina in a taxi (a petit taxi will cost only a few dirham, c. £0.30 or €0.50 at current rates of exchange). Like other Ibis hotels in Morocco, it is...

Excellent Value in Fes
from morocco_traveller
I booked this hotel after having had an excellent experience at the Hotel Ibis in Meknes. The hotel in Fes is located downtown near the train station. The location is very good. It is an older hotel than the one in Meknes; however, it has been taken very good care of and still represents an excellent value for the price paid. A single room with breakfast cost about 40 euros (45 dollars) and that included breakfast. The hotel has limited parking in front and their is a parking attendant (who you should tip when leaving). The rooms were clean...

Good value, delicious breakfast
from Heike65
Located on a side street, a short walk to the Gare Fes (train station), the hotel is simply decorated and a great value for the money (as I find all Ibis hotels to be). There is a small pool surrounded by lush gardens, and the breakfast room looks out to the pool area, as does the bar. The included breakfast consists of typical Moroccan goodies, like olives, yoghurt, fruits, cheeses, and the yummy flatbread called m’laoui. It's a cab ride to the medina, which a must-see is the tannery area (make sure you have a bundle of mint next to...

great for discount treavellers still wanting general quality
from elsobranty
i was very nervous about booking a cheap hotel in morroco off the reviews on this site, but for all ppl on a budget i can guarantee, if u go ibis u will get a clean room with good service. the rooms are a few steps up of dorm rooms, but the service was very good, helpful staff with pleasent faces and the pool is still an oasis from the heat. very very familly place tons of kids so defiently not a place for a romantic couple, but if ur interests are in the city with a clean ACed bed to go to, Ibis is a good affordable way. also right in...

very good value clean hotel
from 2Travel
We stayed there for two nights and we had no problems at all. Very convenient, next to the train station. Quiet and comfortable. We did not like Fez though and when we decided to cancel our 3rd night and go back to Casablanca, the cancelation process was very easy as we requested to stay that night at the Ibis Casablanca. Overall, a good experience.
Basic clean hotel by railway/bus stations
from alanreynolds
We stayed 3 nights 9-12 November 2004. The hotel is one of the French owned chain of IBIS hotels ; cheap, basic and good value. It is at the side of the square housing the main bus station and the railway station. It is the terminus for the No.16 bus which serves the Airport (though we never saw a timetable for it either in Fes or at the Airport). The hotel is in the New part of Fes; the historic Medina is about a DRH 10 (EUR 1,00) ride away in a "Petit Taxi". The hotel has an arabic feel with marble floors and some decorations. The...
