Ibis Moussafir Casablanca

We stayed here our first night in Morocco. We chose it because of it's close proximity to the train station.

From the airport you are able to take the train directly to the Casa Voyageurs station. From here, walk out of the station doors and turn right, you'll see the hotel across the parking lot.

The check in staff was friendly and spoke some english. The room was basic but clean.

There was a breakfast buffet included in the price, it had a little more on it than most Moroccon breakfasts. Cold meat, cheese, bread, boiled eggs and a toaster.

Overall, there were no problems, basic but good.

The hotel is clean, the front desk staff helpful, the rooms basic but pleasant. The bathroom tiling is rather shoddy, but that was the only problem. This is a relatively affordable hotel and looks very European, so don't go expecting the authentic Moroccan experience. Convenient location next to Casa Voyageurs train station. Breakfast an extra 44dh for an adequate buffet- I recommend going out instead unless you are in a big hurry.

We had a similar experience to most other reviewers. We booked here mostly because we were concerned about flying into Casa and then trying to take the train to Fes in the same day. To break it up, we spent our first night here. After a long day travelling, it was a huge convenience to be able to hop the train at the airport and then just walk across the street to our hotel.

The room furnishings were pretty old, and the bed hard, but the showers were nice and hot. We had a great breakfast here, but dinner I would skip next time - I had a lot better tajines later on.

All in all, good value.

I stayed at this hotel to board the airplane which left Casablanca early in the morning. Because it is close to Casa Voyager station, it is convenient for rail traveler. However, furniture in the room is very old, and, I can not expect to be relaxed in a hotel. It is better for you to consider that this is only sleeping place.

As many is stated, restaurant is high in a price, but the taste was delicious.

This hotel is definitely convenient if you are travelling by train. We flew into the CMN airport, and hopped on to the train into Casablanca. The hotel is right at the Casa Voyageurs stop, from which we left the following morning to Marrakech.

We arrived around 8PM and were told that despite having booked online 2 months earlier, there were no rooms available. They offered to put us at a 4 star hotel at the same rate and all we needed to do was wait 10 minutes for their shuttle driver to return. 30 minutes later with no update from the front desk and my 2 young jet lagged kids literally screaming in their lobby I went to check on when we might leave and they somehow managed to magically produce a room for us.

The room, I must say was pretty crappy. Very smalll, old carpeting, bedding. The sheets and bathroom were clean, which is the most important part in my mind, but it didn't have a great feel to it.

As other travellers have stated, the breakfast, which is included in the price was excellent.

Overall, the convenience of having a place to lay your head after a long flight to Morocco was unbeatable, even despite the less than optimal accomidations.

Rooms very tired and somewhat shabby, especially the bathroom. Staff unhelpful and disinterested. Breakfast was the only highlight. Close to train station which was convenient and noise was not a problem.

The Ibis Casablanca is conveniently located next to the Casablanca Voyageurs train station. It is surrounded by a nice garden, but maybe noisy if you've got a room to the busy street. Unfortunately, the personnel at the reception seemed rather unmotivated. They even refused to change a 100 Dirham bill into two 50 Dirham bills. Comparing to similar priced hotels in Morocco the breakfast was really good. The room was a big disappointment. Don't expect a standard that you are probably used to by Ibis hotels in Europe! The room was damp and a large damp spot at the ceiling was colonized by fungi. The spot maybe interesting to mycologists, but it is not tolerable in a hotel. The carpet obviously had not been cleaned for weeks.
