This is a good hotel spoilt by the resteraunt experience. We had a sea view room on the 6th floor, which was great. The beach is 100 yards away. Railway Station 5 minutes walk. 1 hour 40 mins to Barcelona.Staff very helpful. Pool area good and safe for children. Hotel in... more

Really nice hotel. The food was lovely and whole hotel very clean.
As it was out of season the pool bar was closed and there was no entertainment which was a shame but I would not hesitate in returning to this hotel.
However I would go in the main holiday season.

Blaumar Hotel Salou

Blau mar
We stayed in the Blau Mar Hotel at the OCT school week & I really couldn't fault it at all. Rooms were spotelss, staff (cleaning, reception, restaurant) all staff were more than helpful & quite friendly. Drinks were slightly expensive in comparison to elsewhere, but you are also paying for the surroundings. so cant complain too much. We booked in half board as this the only option available with our tour operator which I would not normally do. The 5 of us had no complaints whatsoever with the service. There was a... more
Fantastic Hotel
Stayed at the Balumar during October half term week. Thought it was an absolutely excellent hotel. The standards of cleanliness were second to none. Our room was spotless, the communal toilets were spotless the bar area was spotless, what more can I say. Staff were friendly and helpful, all spoke English. Food was very plentiful and of a very good standard. The fish night was superb. Due to the lateness of the season the pool was freezing and hardly used, but even if only one person was about there was always a lifeguard on poolside.... more
Highly Recommended
We were a party of 9 - 2 families with children ranging from 11 to 15 - and we all had a great time during our one week stay at Blaumar. It is very well situated - separated from the main road which runs alongside the beach promenade by a small Square which means there is no problems with traffic noise. The Hotel itself is very clean and the staff polite and pleasant. The food is good with a great selection particularly for Dinner in evening (7pm - 10pm). Facilities in Hotel include a games area for kids (pool table etc), a... more
97% excellent
The location and standard of the hotel are excellent. The room sizes are good and the kitchen facilities basic, but okay - take a kettle and some mugs with you. We originally had a room overlooking the pool, but the rooms on the other side, especially on the 6th floor have a stunning view of the beach, the promenade and the coast line, if you don't get one of the apartments at the front. I think these were more expensive. If you book through the website, the numbers to request would be 1614, 1616 and possibly 1618 - we had the 5th... more
simply the best
What a find. mainly thanks to trip advisor. Outstanding in all aspects. Spotlessly clean. All the staff are happy , polite and nothing was too much trouble for them even at the end of the season. The rooms are spacious , comfortable, and full of little extras we didn't expect. Go to the hotel spa and enjoy the sauna, steamroom and gym, it's all free. The children's facilities are great and much fun for them, but it doesn't have the feel of a British kids type holiday place , very tasteful. The food in the buffet is all... more
Great Location - recommended especially for families
Just came back from a week at this hotel and stayed in a family room which was in a separate block. This was only a very short walk to the main hotel and wasn't inconvenient. The room itself was like a mini apartment, there was a separate bedroom with a large bed and lounge area with seating that comfortably slept two children (with a pull out bed for a third - suitable for child or adult). It was good to have a kitchenette although we only used it mainly for making hot drinks and snacks. The balcony was large with a good view -... more
Great hotel, Great location
Stayed here for 2 nights, was a fantastic place. Loved the closness to the beach, no more than 2 minutes away, perfect! Rooms were nice, had a 6th floor room but not the best view (other apartments an a crane but could see 2 Port Aventura rides from the balcony!) Stayed in a double single single room which came with a small kitchen/dinnete area (2 hobs, sink, fridge, table an chairsx4), nice living space and bathroom. Bedroom is seperate from living space. Balcony was a good size with heater and clothes maiden plus 2 chairs and... more
Forgot to say thank you to the Blau Mar for making our anniversary special!!
Crikey well this is quite overdue...This hotel was outstanding in terms of value and how well we were treated. We went to Salou for our first wedding anniversary in April. When we checked in we were given keys and proceeded to look for our 'room'. We finally discovered that our room was in a separate block on the sea front. The room was a corner apartment with two bedrooms, a kitchen a living area and a stretching balcony overlooking the sea. The apartment was immaculate and modern. On the day of our anniversary we were provided with a... more
Fantastic Hotel
I stayed there for one week 14-21 Oct with my husband and 3 children(aged 8). Staff were very helpful, friendly and effecient, plus very goodlooking(one male in particular),We had a room that slept the 5 of us, the kids were in the living room and my husband and i were in the bedroom(2 single beds), A small kitchen, but we never used it for cooking as we were half board and ate out at lunchtime. Food was amazing, dining room spotless waiting staff lovely, the quality of the food was 2nd to none even although the coffee in the morning... more
