Well if you enjoy the total quiet - apart from the farmyard noises you will be in luck!
The apartments were set in a rural location about 15 mins walk from the base of a hill that all the shops, bars, and restaurants were up.
The apartments were clean but basic and the pool area was clean with enough sunbeds to go around - I am sure most people must have left the complex each day to sight see.
The owners were friendly and we had a problem with our fridge one night and by lunch time the next day all was sorted.
The apartments would suit those who wanted to hire a car/ mopeds and get out and about to see the island. If you stayed for longer than a week without a car you may become abit 'cabin feverish'!!
The public transport was reliable but not very frequent and the excursions seemed quite expensive for a family.
The resort centre was very traditional and would not suit anyone with young children or walking disabilities, as 90% of the resort was based on the hillside up narrow cobbled streets.
Overall a great place if you just want to do nothing or very little for a very chilled out week.

very hard to beat for a holiday, the Makris is superb, with a poolside bar, excelant pool and friendly staff, it is 15 mins walk from the beach and is a brilliant place to take your kids. the rooms are good and very very clean, i would recomend to anyone, infact i will be returning next year. Arrilas is a small but adequte place, it has not been damaged by the tourist industry and has plenty of restaraunts and bars to make it a great holiday, the only bad factor i found was that it only has one cash machine which was prone to running out but does have a berau de change for travellers cheques. many of the pools on the sea front are free so its good for the kids, and plenty of sea activities aswell, the local people are very fiendly and will help you with anything you ask, there are two supermarkets (well just imagine not tesco more like a londis), otherwise you cannot fault it.
