I stayed in Kokinos with my girlfriend for a week. We found the apartment to be just right for our needs. It was very clean and the towells and sheets were changed every other day as well as the apartment being cleaned. The apartments are very basic, but that is all we were loking for. There isn't a swimming pool or bar or anything (unless you use Makris down the road) but why would you want that when the beach and plenty of restaurants are only a ten min walk away?!
Kokinos was great as a base and we loved having it to come back too, you can sit out on either side of the apartment so at any time of the day you can sit in the sun or in the shade (and believe me you need the shade!).
If your someone who wants everything laid on the doorstep then go somewhere bigger but if you prefer to have a quiet apartment and walk into town for the entertainment then Kokinos is perfect.
The beach at Arillas is great, especially if you walk down to the ends. For some reason people don't seem to walk that far so almost every day it was almost deserted. There is also the chance to hire boats, kayaks, and pedalos and do the rings or banana motor boat stuff. We also hired some push bikes from Arillas and went to the neighbouring resorts, I would definately recommmed going to Cape Drastis, on the north western tip of the island.
