This was the first time in years we have been abroad and the first time ever our 8yr old had been.
The apartments were basic but adequate and spotlessly clean, all we really did in them was sleep & shower! We had towels changed frequently and maid service daily.
The pool & bar area were lovely. We were in apartment 3049 which was close enough to the pool etc but had no views but was on the ground level, steps to 1st floor were quite steep, and I wouldn't book it if you have buggies for kids.
The only very slight negative was the breakfast which was a bit of a letdown, there wasn't a "full English" which sounds really stupid when you are in a foreign country but we tend to have a good breakfast and no lunch.
They also charged you a set price regardless of whether you had one round of toast or a plate full of food, BUT all the other restaurants around us did full breakfasts and also did smaller versions where they charged per item so it was cheaper. Can highly recommend the La Fontana for breakfast of any description!
Can't fault the staff, they were all brilliant, particularly the bar staff, the entertainment brought in was excellent, if you get chance to see the BEATLES you should, they were fantastic as was the Disney show for the kids. We really enjoyed our time there and are looking forward to returning again next year.

Just returned from an 11 night stay at the Lago Garden Aparthotel. We were allocated room 3107 which had fabulous views over the harbour. The reception staff (especially Laurie) were very helpful and attended to our every need. The entertainment was brilliant. We travelled with our 3 year old daughter and she loved every minute of it. Andy and Madeline (entertainment team) were fabulous - the best we have every seen. There are lots of bars and restaurants in Cala n Bosch - just enough for us with a child and a baby. All music stops at midnight.
Considering we arrived 3 days after the bad storms in Minorca, I think the Aparthotel was a credit to them. Locals told us that Minorca has not had a storm like this before.... so I think the previous report from the Amsterdam traveller may have been a one off.
If you get the chance to go to the Lago Garden, do so, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

We were very impressed with the Garden Lago. All the Sunterra accommodation is good. (We are members of a holiday club that have properties all over the world - it's like timeshare but very high quality).
Alcudia was a very nice resort and good for the children. We were impressed with the location of the Garden Lago just on the lake. Very nice. Not far from the bars and centre of Alcudia, although quite far away from the beach, but the pool area was so nice that we weren't bothered about that.
There were plenty of bars around that did very good English food. We went to Cheers some nights for the children's entertainment, and the Peach Pit and we ate a lot in Britannia's bar where they have Sky TV and all the programmes from home.
We went to Pirates, which we booked through the reception at the Garden Lago - the show was top class. We've never seen anything like it - and all you can drink in one night too!
We also went to Marineland and Aqualand, which we booked through the Garden Lago reception too. They work with a company called No Frills Excursions. It was a very good day out but some of the slides were a bit scary for the kids!

Just returned from Lago Garden, having spent 14 nights with my wife and our two children (5 and 8). Great location overlooking the marina and close to all the restaurants and shops. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment and asked for a room overlooking the marina. We were allocated room 3117, which was right by the pool as well as meeting our request and great for the kids to spend the maximum time possible with their friends they made there.
Kids entertainment was great during the day and they enjoyed the mini disco early evening. If you want to be entertained as an adult then this is probably not the best place to go. I don’t think in the 14 nights I saw anything I would rate over a 4/10. Pool was OK, although there seemed to be a lot of ear infections going around. Rooms cleaned daily and towels changed, etc. It is well advertised in Scandinavia, so there a lots of Swedes and Dutch as well as British.
Resort is really nice and compact around the marina, loads of great restaurants. Prices for food and drink are comparable to the UK. Beach is good, sandy and just about big enough for the resort. I would recommend the hotel and would return again.

Really pleased with apartments, very clean. So glad they had air con as we went during a heat wave! Lots of bars & restaurants in the very near vicinity but found they are quite pricey, even for basics. Try Avanti restaurant for food, it's very nice. Avoid the steakhouse on the corner, food was not satisfactory.
Lago gardens has a lovely pool, bar pool quite pricey though. Night time entertainment was appalling for adults so we stayed away but kids seem to like it! Supermarkets very overpriced.
Would definitely go again, highly recommended for families!

Stayed there for two weeks with my wife and 3 kids aged 4, 7 and 9.
Apartments are compact, clean and well looked after. Lily, the cleaner was in most days and kept the place spotless. All the staff were nothing short of amazing. Very friendly, good English and always ready to help.
All the entertainment was fantastic. Have yet to see anyplace else up to the same standard. Kids had an unbelievable time. The 'Bay Watch' take-off every day at lunchtime was a hoot.
There is a restaurant/dining room and also a pool-side snack bar. Food was reasonably priced and arrived without delay. It was a pleasure to eat there although we tended to eat out most of the time. No shortage of nearby restaurants to try out. Supermarket and shops very close by. Bus stops outside which is very convenient for getting to Ciutadella (hope I spelled it right). Great market there and well worth a visit.
If this review sounds very one-sided, I'm afraid it is. We were totally taken with everything there and we're on our way back to Lago Gardens next year. Only six months to go... drat...

The apartments were placed very well with only a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach and right across the road from the main shopping centre. A supermarket and gift shops were all located in the shopping centre.
The entertainment staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Most nights there would be poolside entertainment that went on to about 11.30pm.
As we went self catering we never actually ate in the restaurant.
The apartments were very clean and were equipped with hair dryer, toaster, tele, phone and the maid was in cleaning the place most days we were there.
Overall the apartments were excellent as were the staff. I would strongly recommend these apartments to anyone who would like a fun, easy, relaxing holiday.

Travelled with husband & 2 children ages 8 and 5.
Accommodation: All 2 bed apartments are on ground floor with terraces only, no balcony. All one bed apartments are on the first floor with balcony. Most apartments are facing onto small internal gardens and have no view. Only about 10 apartments have a port view. All two bed apartments have very small living space & kitchen is a galley/corridor. However apartments are very clean and well maintained / equipped. Hairdryer in bathroom, Toaster, TV. Cleaner in 5 days out of 7.
Staff: Staff were very friendly. Entertainment staff were exceptional and put on great kids entertainment and evening shows which were superb. Evening entertainment stage is in pool area so people with young families should request apartments away from the pool as noisy until 11.30 or so.
Food: Good value optional buffet for breakfast & dinner. Lots of choice, tasty.
Location: In heart of resort, across road from main commercial/shopping centre with large supermarket and about ten min walk from beach.
Resort: Excellent, lots of choice of good restaurants and bars. Beach small and a little crowded, however very shallow sea, which is fantastic for kids. Good beach restaurant.

Great treat entertainment. Fantastic food. Brilliant shows performed every night by your entertainment team or an outside show. Brill accommodation. Air conditioning unit. Loads of activities. Everything stopped at midnight.
We stayed at Garden Lago Hotel, we didn’t know what to expect! the entertainment team are fantastic with their entertainment and put on shows every night and entertain non stop throughout the whole day. We had a fantastic holiday.

I recommend the Lago Garden apartments to anyone who has children. My family and I really enjoyed the entertainment at night. For the children they are always doing water sports in the pool that everyone can join in. The restaurants are brilliant and the beach is absolutely breathtaking. But by far the entertainment team at Lago Garden apartments beats everything.

It’s so close to all the lovely restaurants but still nice and quiet. I would recommend these apartments to anybody. And the resort and island to all families.
