My friends and I stayed in the Aleka Studio apartments in Parga this October. Wow. What a holiday. The Apartment was far superior than I am used to when staying in Greece. Beautiful, spacious, modern, well equipped, clean, friendly, with a view of the harbour from our third floor balcony to die for!
Parga is stunning. A mix of old world Greece flavoured with contemporary Europe. The locals are not all quite as warm and as I'm used to. Some seemed slightly taken aback by my poor attempts at Greek, (a response I have never known whilst holidaying). Although they were more than friendly.
It didn't matter where we ate, we could not find a bad meal anywhere. The food was simply delicious. We drank much of the house white where ever we ate...and never seemed to be hung over. Although Zorbas along the harbour became a favourite of mine. Not least because of the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.
There were trips, but we didn't take any, for to leave would have felt like (as my sister said to me) we would be missing out.
