Hotel Description:

An Aparthotel situated only a short walk from the beautiful Cala N Bosch. The wonderful Cala N Bosch beach is located within the district of Ciutadella. The beautiful town of Ciutadella is full of enchanting corners and surprises, for those looking for more than a mere beach holiday. The town centre has hidden side streets and the busy port area is particularly noteworthy.

" We have just returned from this... "

We have just returned from this hotel. I must say my review is nothing like the others. The apartments were basic but very clean. The evening meals are the worst we have had. Poor choice and they were never hot. We complained and so did at least three others that we know of. There was a slight improvement for one night only. Having picked this out of the premier brochure we expected a much better standard. Neadless to say we will not be returning.

" Just returned after spending 14 fab... "

Just returned after spending 14 fab nights at this aparthotel. The suites were spotless, sheets and towels changed daily (apart from Sunday & Wed). Lounge, bedroom spacious and the bathroom was extremely spacious with a bath and a sep shower.

Entertainment, not brillant. Pool excellent for toddlers plenty of shallow areas (water cold!!)

We didn't use the gym, hey we were on holiday!

Hotel close to harbour side, where there were pleny of restaurants our favourite was the Fiesta very clean, service excellent. Didn't eat at the hotel but talking to other holiday makers they said it was fantastic with plenty of choice.

Goodies, Goodies is good for the kids, racing bikes, bouncy castles, swim area, mini disco and various shows.

If you are thinking of booking then book, I can honestly say I think this is the best hotel we have stayed in in Menorca and we have stayed in 3 different hotels in different resorts.

" Just got home, I have to say if you... "

Just got home, I have to say if you are stopping in these apartments you have no worries they are fantastic! Very clean, a kettle and toaster were provided and the staff are very friendly and most helpful.
The whole Hotel is very environmentally friendly. The pool area is great for children (I have boys aged three & one) no problem getting a sun bed or brollie and if you don’t find one just ask they are happy to help.

I also liked the fact that you can hire a high chair for you room. We had a ground floor apartment at the back of the complex it lead straight out on to a large lawn area supper for the kids.

But do not expect to see a Thomson rep. we did not see one!

The super market next door is good but if you go across the park full of fitness equipment but so much fun (do not miss the op. to go on the beep beep pads they are so much fun) go by the doctors the supermarket there sells better fresh veg, fruit and cakes.

The beach just down from the apartment is nice, and safe for little ones ,but take a walk down to the beach at son xoriguer (about a 15min walk) this has lots of water sports, but the cafes are a bit expensive. Goody is fabulous for the kids they have little water slides and good play areas for all ages.

As for eating out we had good food all over, a must for kids aged one to nine is Delfin Park at LA Perla de la Habana, the staff are so good and she has food for little ones.

For the best fun try Chaplains the guys are great with the kids and the texmex place Fiesta is good to they have a small play area at the back. Fabulous food at the grill on the square, no needs to leave the kids in they are welcome any where.

All in all a super holiday we will be returning, if you have kids it’s a place full of fun!

"  We have stayed at Tamariscos (Fairly... "

We have stayed at Tamariscos (Fairly good), Marina Apartments (Poor), Casas Del Lago (very good) and Macarella (Excellent).

The rooms are great, plenty of sun beds, great mix of people, British, Spanish and German.

The terrace bar surprised us on price and is on a par with bars elsewhere.

Very close to Marina and entertainment for children is super. Yes the evening show is a bit amateurish but it is for the children who absolutely love it.

We are returning again, have booked independently and the Grupotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

Roll on our next holiday!

" I agree with other comments above.... "

I agree with other comments above. The only thing the rooms lack is a toaster and kettle. Location is great and the pool was great for children.

No fighting for sun beds in the morning although a lack of parasols. The entertainment team try their best although it is all a bit amateur. Many of the other hotels put on professional shows daily. Try the Valentine Azul across the road although watch out for their watered down drinks.

Thoroughly recommend a trip to Cuitadella in the evening. Buses are frequent and doesn't cost much for a taxi back.

As far a beaches go the beach closest to the hotel is ok but busy in high season and quite a bit of seaweed. Recommend a little walk to the little beach in between the 2 main beaches which is seaweed free and quite quiet.

" Agree with both previous reviews in... "

Agree with both previous reviews in that this aparthotel was pretty much faultless. The apartment was clean and spacious with good facilities - anything that the apartment lacked could be hired via the hotel.

The pool was large enough to cope with the number of guest using it and very child friendly - perfect for out 2 year old.

The staff are friendly and accommodating. The mix of guests was 30/70 Brits to non Brits - which caused us no problems (in fact it probably aids the level of service given)

The hotel location is good - less than 5 mins walk to the beach, the marina (where most of the restaurants are) and a number of supermarkets / chemist etc.

Would we book again? - definitely, although probably independently next time as the Thompson reps provided very assistance in smoothing our holiday – in fact the most we saw of our chap was when he was trying to sell us the excursions.

" We booked our room and flight... "

We booked our room and flight independently and would recommend it to anyone, the hotel was fantastic, very stylish and quiet, always room around the pool if you want it unlike some others in the area, the hotel does have mainly German tourists but this adds to better service. The only minus point would be the bar/lounge which was a lovely room with candles on the tables but the entertainment was very amateur and we felt it put people off going in which was a shame.

Cala n Bosch has a good amount of restaurants which have some traditional dishes which are good, but try the set menus as we found the main menu expensive and the set menu was better quality.

We have been to most restaurants and really liked the Mr Jaume for the veg paella and the Menorcan fish. La Marina for the tumbet and set menu. Avoid el pato and tex mex good for kids but dreadful food.

" This was a fantastic hotel. The... "

This was a fantastic hotel. The apartments were beautiful, very clean the food was brilliant - different every day and catered for everyone’s tastes. The pool is lovely and the service was excellent. It was in a great location near to the marina.

I can’t rate this hotel enough - whilst it catered a bit more for German tourists we had a great time and would def recommend it to anyone
