this hotel is supurb the staff are very helpful the beach and shops are seconds away food is fantastic the people are very freindly we met lots of venders which are a bit pushey at first but they do tend to calm down after a few days jonny be good was one vender we met and and he was so very helpful with telling us where to go what to do and telling us best places to eat and shop over all our hoilday was brilliant and i would recomend if your looking for a relaxing hoilday hotel thurshara is very basic but very clean beds and towels are changed daily and the rooms are also cleaned daily the manager is so abliging in every way this hotel is a 2 star but i would most certainly put it at 3 stars i have stayed in 3 star hotels before and id like to say hotel thurshsra was by far the best for service cleaness freindly when we decided to go to india we did not no what to expect as you here so many storys but we are so glad we went and hope to go back next year

This hotel was better than we expected. The rooms were clean and large, and the staff so helpful, and there was hot water, all though you don’t need it.
The location is perfect, 2 minutes from the beach, the rickshaws and taxis.
We are already planning to go back in 2007, its a great base to explore the joys of Kerala.
The manager is very helpful and was more than happy to advise us on travel arrangements, train tickets, and when to avoid the crowds etc.
Pizzeria at the end of lighthouse beach (left) serves fantastic food and the service is great, a fantastic place to watch the sun go down.

Lets get this straight, this is not a 7 star mega palace but is a perfectly acceptable place to wash and lay ones head after enjoying the delights of this Southern Indian destination.
Lets be honest, you go to Kerala for the tropical environment, friendly people and fantastic food, not to gaze at the quality of the tiling and write a critique on the efficiency of the a/c!
The Thrushara is clean and comfortable, secure, friendly and efficiently run.
If you own a Porsche Cayenne, you and your spray tan probably won't like it, for the rest of us its just fine.
