Built on three floors, the Jasmine Palace has been carefully designed and attractively furnished with great attention to detail by Sunil, the friendly owner. The rooms are all of a good size with twin beds, fridge, ceiling fan, mosquito machines, en suite tiled shower, wc and a balcony. Rooms with air conditioning are also available. The superior rooms in the new block also have individually controlled air conditioning, TV and are larger so can accommodate an extra bed for a child.

Recently returned from 3 weeks in the Jasmine Palace. We had rooms in the new block which were clean and spacious with a good sized balcony.

The room had ceiling fan and air con ( which was efficient but noisy ) at times the air con was switched off in the afternoon which can be a problem if you want a siesta. The staff were very pleasant, courteous and frequently funny, to me they gave the place the edge over others.

O.K. I agree the breakfast wasn't brilliant but the food overall was good and there are so many great places to eat food is certainly not a problem in the area. The pool is small but the beach is a few minutes’ walk away.

I would certainly return to the Jasmine Palace if visiting the area again.

A nice hotel. The staff where friendly and happy. Nice location.

The breakfast was a disappointment; however the rainbow restaurant next door to the Jasmine Palace served a wonderful array of breakfasts.

The cleaners often started work from 5:30am in the morning, so if on the ground floor, a lie in is not an option.

You can only have a cold shower. For hot water, a large bucket and the a small jug were provided. Hot water pipe was three meters from the floor.

Don’t wash or have items washed, especially whites, the water is brown and all white garments came back brown.

If using hotel pool, be aware, the local men, like to take pictures of the women whilst sun bathing.

I have just returned from 3 weeks at the Jasmine having had a lovely holiday. The staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for them. I felt that the restaurant let the hotel down badly as did most of the other tourists.

Breakfast was monotonous and if I ever see another egg it will be too soon. There is a brilliant library in reception so there is plenty to read. I would stay there again but only if I thought that the eating facilities had improved.

Excellent hotel. The staff were...

Excellent hotel. The staff were friendly, very helpful and courteous. Rooms clean and comfortable and the hotel is conveniently placed for the beach and amenities.

We had a great time there, the restaurant serves excellent food at a reasonable price. We went for the new wing which costs a little more with more space and a good balcony where you can see the different birds and chipmunks in the garden.

Altogether extremely good value for money.

Jasmine Palace is a lovely friendly hotel with helpful, courteous staff, the rooms are well appointed and the standard of cleanliness is excellent.

The pool area is well laid out although there are lots of shady areas due to the surrounding palm trees.

What lets the hotel down is the restaurant, cold drinks are not cold enough, hot drinks are not hot enough, the tea and coffee is very weak and to obtain ice cubes is like asking for gold.

Overall a well run hotel which I would return to but a few small points need addressing.

The Jasmine Hotel is very good....

The Jasmine Hotel is very good. Our room was large and comfortable. The hotel is clean and the people are kindly.

The view from our room was nice: palm trees with squirrels and tropical birds, the swimming pool (not so big, but enough for us).

The hotel is at 50 mt from the mean beach of Kovalam, just after the corner. Close to the Jasmine is a friendly Tour Operator (non so cheap!) and a good Ayurvedic clinic. Try it!
