Quality Hotel Snowdonia

stayed here with my pensioner mum early april. only paid £45 per night for the 2 of us for 3 nights so cant really grumble about the dated decor and smaller than average room. can complain that we felt second class to coach parties every night. nasty chav little bar not what you would expect in a hotel like this. food in restaurant at night ultra ultra over priced. tiny chicken breast dish which was actually thighs and had no veg unless you paid extra £5 for each of veg and pots. unbeleiveable low low value for money. llanberis was still... more

We planned a three night short break, and arrived fri lunch time, the staff were very polite and professional, food excelent, room very clean and spacious, TV very old and small, but as we were blessed with very good weather we did not mind the TV being poor. overall we enjoyed our stay, and look foreward to revisiting in the near future Very good value for the money. I booked a 2 night stay as a suprise for our wedding anniversary. We stayed in an executive room which was perfect and I pre booked Champagne, flowers and chocolates which were a bargain at £40.00. The hotel is a bit dated in most places but so were a lot of the guests but its in a great location with friendly staff. Overall a great 2 nights and I will book again.

This hotel is value for money fabulous locations within easy reach of all famous landmarks in North Wales, Plenty of parking space at the Hotel. The Staff Annwen, Magic where very courteous and nothing was too much trouble Breakfast was outstanding and a variety of food to cover all nationalities. Floor boads creak but for 45.00 a night just treat yourself to some ear plugs, and anyway after a day walking in Snowdonia, you probably be too tired to hear any noises. My partner and I stayed here between Xmas and New Year 2007 for one night with the intention of walking around Snowdon for a couple of days. Unfortunately the Welsh weather would not permit us to go ahead with this plan, therefore, we spent some time in the hotel. Yes, the floorboards are creaky and the decor dated, but people seem to forget that this is North Wales, not Milan or New York!! (I am, by no means, criticising North Wales, incidentally!!). Stayed in one of the refurbished rooms . Nicely done and comfortable. TV plasma a bit small but in general very clean and comfortable. Breakfast a bit rubbish and couldn't use the lounge in the evening as coach trip talks were going on. Rambling corridors and a bit of a hike to the room a hand with the bags would have been nice. If they knocked a tenner off the room price it would be good value. Staff friendly and helpful. Improvement from my last stay when Quality owned it. Oh towel radiators very hot... more

The Royal Victoria serves a purpose. It is probably the only place in Llanberis, that can cater for the sheer volume of tourism that enters the town and this is probably this hotel's saving grace. Having stayed in the place on many occasions throughout the summer last year, through my work on Three Peak Challenges (the hotel is ideal as we can set up base in the Snowdon Railway car park directly below the hotel), I can confirm that it is popular with walkers, bus tours, and as a wedding and charity event venue.
