Hotel Peyris
We stayed here in the week of March 19th 2007, the hotel was very basic, staff was friendly. Was disappointed that we were not notified when booking, that the hotel was under construction. Most likely would not stay here again.
Management response from attachedirection

Dear Guest, You stayed at the hotel Peyris Opera in March 2007. In March 2007 we changed the carpet in all corridors. But the hotel was not under construction as you mentioned. We inform you that we also have a new decoration at the breakfast room since November 2008. It is to make our clients stay enjoyable as possible. And we are really sorry for the inconveniences caused. We hope to welcome you again at the Peyris Opera hotel. Best regards Antonella

basically under renovation
Hotel reasonably placed for all access to all tourist sights. However was obviously in the process of being decorated when we stayed (march 1-5 2007). Carpet on all hallways (every floor apart from ground) was covered in thck plastic and taped with gaffer tape. Most walls in process of being painted and workmans tools left on open view. Some ceilings in hallways minus panels. Room 544 in particular was subject to constant noise like water running due to pipes being redirected above bedroom doorway. Lift antiquated, only takes 2 people... more

Dear guest, We changed the carpet in all corridors and we inform you that the renovation is finished. We also changed the breakfast room and we are refurbushing all rooms. We are sorry for all inconveniences caused but it is to offer your stay more enjoyable. The lift is small but you can take it for 1, 2 or 3 people. 2 people of mor than 70 kilos. I am suprised to read that you do not had a bread and a croissant because we served a full buffet breakfast !! Hope to welcome you again Best regards Antonella

enjoyed the Peyris
We stayed at the Peyris last weekend. The hotel is about 10 mins walk for the Place De L'Opera and has a metro stop about 4 mins walk away. A lovely hotel, and yes, it is true what they say about the lift.. the smallest one I have ever been in... The hotel is very clean and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. The room, although small, was very well equiped for our short stay and was very clean. The breakfast was lovely with fresh bread and croissants etc. I would definetley stay again, and would recommend it..
Nice B&B option
Location: The hotel is situated in 5-7 minutes walk from Bonne Nouvelle metro (ticket "carnet" - 10,5 euros for 10 trips); other subway stations -Grand Boulevards and Strasbourg St-Denis - are located a little bit farther. It takes 10-15 min to get to Opera Garnier, about 40 min - to Louvre, 10 min - to shopping streets (Lafayette, Haussmann). There are many small cafes and restaurants all around, one supermarket on Faubourg Poisonniere street, 'REX' cinema in 5 minutes walk. Territory: Hotel is quite small, about 50 rooms. There... more
Really Good Hotel
Myself and my husband stayed at the Peyris Hotel in October 2005 for 5 days. The hotel location is very good, the staff are very helpful and friendly. This was our first time in Paris and the weather (middle of October 2005) was excellent. We walked everywhere as in my opinion, this is the only way to see any city and in particular the beauty of Paris and all its famous sights (Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame etc....) Would highly recommend the boat trip on the Seine, you can hop on and off all day at various points. For eating out,... more
Grets Location
My husband and I stayed here in November 2005 for 6 days. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from metro which is ideal for seeing everything. Staff are extremely helpful and curteous. Breakfast is plentiful. Lift is very small. Returning to Paris in Feb 2006 for a girlie weekend and staying in different hotel. Will write another review. Would stay in Peyris again
It was in a great location
My friend and I are both from Australia, but I am living in Ireland for 2 years and she came over for a visit. We decided to go to Paris for 3 nights but were on quite a tight budget and timeline, so we obviously wanted to stay somewhere that looked close enough to everything so we could get around easy enough. I got on the internet and found the Hotel Peryis. It looked central enough and was in my price range (and included breakfast) so I booked it. We arrived in Paris, and decided we would walk to the hotel, but found it a bit... more
loved the peyris
stayed in the peyris hotel in jan 2005, ok the lift is dodgy, but the hotel itself is ideally located especially if you are willing to use the metro, everything was just a few stops away! the room was clean and bathroom newley renovated. the room size was average for a city hotel. Breakfast in the morning was gorgeous. would recommend this hotel
Average
We stayed in the Peyris Hotel last weekend, it is very average. Looks very impressive form the outside, inside it is old world charm, that includes the bedrooms! There is a terrible smell in the lobby and corridors upstairs, the lift is ancient and was out of order for most of the stay (I wouldnt have used ti anyway!) The room was poorly decorated but clean and same could be said for the bathroom, both had loads of space. Overall I was not impressed Hotel Du Centre would be a much better option, its just around the corner. Breakfast was fine... more

Enjoyed Hotel Peyris
I really enjoyed the Hotel Peyris. The cost was reasonable. The location was good. We were only there for three nights and we didn't want to stay in the hotel strip area. This was a wonderful hotel with a good breakfast and the staff spoke English which was very helpful. We were able to walk to all of the sites and the neighborhood was very safe. The Metro stop was just around the corner but we chose to walk. The rooms were very small, but roomy bathrooms. We had the standard double which was two twin beds pushed together. We didn't do any... more
