We stayed there in 2006 and were made to feel so at home and wanted so much to see everyone again we went back in 2007 and we are now planning to go back again in 2008. We love it!!!

Everyone in Sagara were wonderful!!! For us we could not fault it-if only First Choice were as helpful as the management and staff.

Our room was spacious and clean, reception were helpful, welcoming and very friendly, room service was prompt and the restaurants food was very good.

Breakfast could have had more choice but hey, if you want a full English, stay at home!!! Would find it hard to go back and stay anywhere else as we were made to feel special.

Took a trip on houseboat-an absolute must, Munar and Tea plantations-breathe taking.

GREAT PLACE, GREAT LOCATION, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PEOPLE...............!!

We'll be back, Donna and Garrick room 107.

p.s-hello Steven + management

A very nice hotel with good views and far enough back from the beach to have a bit of privacy.

Not great food and I advise going to beach cafes for meals.

We booked a last minutes holiday to The Sagara Beach Resort, it was very inexpensive but we had a surprise when we arrived.

Our room was large, clean, air conditioned and had a TV with India's version of Sky.

It was a short walk from the beach and close to most that Kovalam had to offer.

Breakfast was poor, a choice of cornflakes, toast with butter and jam, and boiled eggs if you paid extra.

Cleaning of the rooms was a bit hit and miss, and the sheet change every other day didn’t happen.

Eating out was so inexpensive we couldn’t believe it. The First Choice rep advised us to eat in Fusion or German Bakery, we found both modern with up to date toilets but the food was not good.

We visited Kovalam seven years ago and not a lot has changed, there are a few new hotels and the beach is cleaned but apart from this nothing has changed.

We went on a nice boat cruise we booked with the taxi drivers, it was fantastic.

We would stay in this hotel again and would return for another holiday. We suffered no Deli Belly and as far as we know neither did anyone else.

Beautiful resort, very friendly...

Beautiful resort, very friendly locals, lots to do: yoga, day trips, snorkeling, massage, and of course sunbathing! Lovely to watch sunset each evening over the sea.

Sea was very choppy too rough to swim, there were some surfers having a wail of a time. Plenty of lifeguards on the main beach although not many on the smaller beaches - watch out for mega strong current.

Cheap to eat out every night - best cuisine in the world. 2* hotel was nice, clean, basic and well looked after, nothing too special but everything you could need. Attentive and welcoming staff, wonderful menu in restaurant. Hotel owned by 3 brothers who came to wish us bon voyage at the end of our stay. Beautiful staff, waiters, receptionists and cleaners.

The tailors at the resort had varying skill levels - shop around and you will get the most beautiful clothes you will ever own, made to order. vijaya was my favourite tailor - not the best but quick and a lovely man. Another was just up the road from the hotel - first tailor on the right heading away from the beach towards the lighthouse. I urge you to go there, very friendly and incredible workmanship.

Sellers/vendors are really nice people once you get over your irritation at being asked to buy every few seconds, you will learn a lot about the Indian culture and lifestyle, and maybe learn a bit about your own culture and yourself into the bargain.

An excellent hotel clean rooms,...

An excellent hotel clean rooms, air conditioning, fan and TV. Fridge available for a small charge. First class service from cleaners to owners who were both friendly and polite and made our holiday one to remember.

The hotel has a roof top restaurant with excellent meals and service. Many of the guests had stayed at this hotel before and I can understand why. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Absolutely brilliant
