Mercure Paris Opera Garnier Hotel

Great Hotel, small rooms but nice and verry clean. Staff was very friendly! Breakfast was very good, american buffet. Excelent location near subway and many shops. Next year we go back !

I stayed in a "Privilege" room which was a good size room that faced some sort of a courtyard which made it quiet. The bathroom was nice and modern. It's close to the Blvd. Haussman shopping area for those who must shop till you drop. It is 5 minute walk to the Opera-Roissy airport bus stand if you are looking to save money on airport transfers. I recently stayed at the Mercure Paris Opera Garnier and had a great stay! The hotel staff is very friendly and accomodating, trying very hard to help you, even with language barriers! The hotel is in a great location, right near several metro stops (we found Havre Caumartin to be the most convenient). Classy department stores are right there! Au Printemps is just about a block away, and Galeries Lafayette is two! The beautiful Opera house is very close. On arrival at the hotel, the receptionist was very friendly and polite. The room was small but really clean and the bed was a good size. We overlooked the courtyard which was very pleasant. The reception area and small bar were very comfortable. This hotel is really well located, right beside the Metro, the RER and the shops of Boulevard Haussmann. We would definitely go back to this hotel.

This hotel is very well located due to the proximity the St. Lazare RER/Metro station. It is quiet easy to find when coming in via Gare Du Nord. On arrival that staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. Our room was small but I think that we were just unlucky to get a corner room. While traveling in France this past holiday season, my husband and I were without a place to stay on New Year's Eve. Viola! Enter Mercure Paris Opera Garnier! The front office staff was kind, warm and welcoming. Very gracious and anxious to assist in last minute dining requests by providing phone numbers, etc for restaurants throughout Paris. This hotel is excellent for several reasons: it's located near several Metro/RER train stations -- the close proximity to the RER made it very easy for us to take the train from/to Charles DeGaulle Airport and, when we were on the go, getting across the city faster than when using the Metro system; there's great shopping right by the hotel and good restaurants just across the street; the hotel is very clean and well-run; the American-style breakfast had a good selection of foods to chose from; the staff were friendly and very helpful -- the... more

Great Location, easy walk to major shopping at Galleria Lafayette. Many cafe's around, excellent pastries and bread for breakfast. On arrival we were shown where to get breakfast and made the mistake of assuming it was included in the tarrif. The rooms were clean and comfortable. On our departure I received the charges for breakfast, a shocking 12 Euros (approx. AU$18) each including for my 11 year old daughter who ate little on any of the three mornings we were there. If you go to Paris, do NOT stay at this hotel. The staff is not friendly, not helpful and rude. They begin serving breakfast at 6am and when my husband and I arrived in the room at 6am they tried to "shoo" us out b/c they were not set up yet. And when we refused b/c we had to catch a flight, they began complaining about us very loudly. The main receptionist during the day was also very rude. I was very pleased with this wonderful hotel. The staff was extremely professional, and the property couldn't have been cleaner. There are at least 3 metro stops within 1/2 block of the hotel. We took advantage of the quaint bar and full morning breakfast - both were delightful. Solid choice for Paris.
