First time at St. Nicholas Gardens
10 / 10
Sep 2011, One Leg

I have been going to Hisaronu ni on 18 years. I have stayed with friends in their villas, hotels and apartments. This was my first time at St. Nicholas Gardens and I wasn't disappointed. There were four in our group and we shared a two bedroomed apartment which was very clean and our cleaner was a lovely lady. There are two pools to choose from and each one is very clean. The staff are great especially Hatice, and Mehmet the manager is very friendly and an extremely nice chap. I only ate at the hotel once but the food I had was very good. The hotel is in an excellent position for everything you want in Hisaronu. I also have to give Dippy Dollys a mention (the bar next door). Good food and friendly staff who I have known for a long time. I will almost certainly have no hesitation in staying at St. Nicholas Gardens again. See you next year Mehmet xxx

Jst got back from a 2 week holiday in hisaronu, we stayed at st nicholas gardens apartments, there were 9 in our party ranging from 2yrs old to mid 70s, we all had an amazing time the apartments ar basic but very clean and the pools to choose from are great. The walk from the apartment to the main strip of hisaronu was literally seconds and the greenhouse restaraunt across the road did fantastic food michael the manager there was so friendly and we got on really well with him n his staff. the food at st nick gardens wasnt fantastic hence the 8 outof 10 rating. we had a bbq nght one night there and the food was gross to say the least and there was no where near enough for everyone one of our party had a starter then went to toilet then by the time she came back most of the main buffet had gone... hisaronu is a fantastic place to holiday the mountins around look stunning and provide a cooler atmosphere then down in olu dinez but the free bus to the beach was really handy...... will defo go back next year and would happily stay in st nick again the gardens are lovely with all the fruit n veg growing sounds strange but i really loved the alotment look lol.... btw anyone going if u see a ginger kitten please be nice to her we called her tilly n she stayed with us all holiday and was soooo loving if it didnt cost so much we would have fetched her home with us..... see ya next year st nicks n hisaronu.........

Having gone to many Turkish resorts we thought we would give Hisaronu a whirl and choose St Nicholas Gardens for 2 weeks after reading all the reviews. We were not dissapointed, fantastic site and location, nice breeze compared to Olu Deniz which was mad hot.3 big supermarkets close by for everything you need. Migros was opposite us so we usually went there - fab fresh bread at 20p a loaf! Restaurant on site was high quality with entertainment some nights if that was what you wanted. There was so much on the doorstep within 2 mins walk that we went out every night. You can go out anytime and there is always something to eat and drink, never heard any complaints from anyone we spoke to about the quality/cost of food in the many restaurants. It was our wedding anniversary while we were there and had a lovely meal at The Leaves - highly recommended.
St Nicholas Gardens was very clean and not noisy - music usually turned down at about midnight, people didn't hog sunbeds with towels in the morning and then disappear till afternoon so you could always get a bed. No hassle resort which was clean and tidy - there is something for everyone young or old. We are going back next year so what better reccomendation could that be!

I have very recently come back from turkey after spending an amazing week out there which was only made better by staying in St Nichs. There was 9 people in our party ranging from aged 20-50 and all loved it as much as each other. The staff are very very friendly, the hotel is clean and well looked after and the situation is unbeatable. Step outside the front gate and your 25m from town however even though so close I cannot say that noise was ever an issue. Two big supermarkets next to the hotel also so self catering is made easy. I would say this hotel suits all ages however i noticed that they do enjoy and cater well for young groups (e.g. loud music round the pool in the day). The only issue I had with the place was breakfast was not all that good. All there was bread fruit and cereal you had to pay for everything else even a drink (except tea and coffee). Oh and also the balconys are very small!
Overall amazing holiday so good that I am thinking of going back in September and would certainly stay in this hotel again.

I stayed in St Nics in july and loved it! It was my first time in turkey and the hotel made a good first impression! The pool was great and the entertainment at night was good too!
The rooms were nice and clean, bedrooms were decent, the only Real problem with them was the small balcony. But overall the rooms were good! There were 3 or 4 pools throughout the complex but i preferred the main one. The bar staff are friendly and the food was nice. Its a VERY quick walk to get to get to the bars and shops in Hisaronu, you cross the road and your there! The entertainment at night was enjoyable and Turkish night was AMAZING!!!!!
Its about a 40-45 minute walk to Overcik where i visited a very good water park which and went on a jeep safari organized by FOCUS!
Overall the holiday was excellent and the hotel was amazing! I would DEFINITELY visit St. Nics again in the near future.

Was not what we were expecting. Very basic, almost slightly run down. It kind of felt like we were in the middle of an old run down allotment in our hotel! The room was bearable. The only things I would like to point out was the dodgy wooden balcony which was slightly broken and slightly bowing! And the shower water seemed to flood the showeroom. The swimming pools were fine and the drinks prices as the pool bar were average. The breakfast was basic but ample although we did have to wait sometimes for the staff to put the food out and fill up the tea urn!
Hissaronu itself though is lovely. Lots of places to eat, drink and shop and only a 10 or 15 minute dolmus ride to Oludinez beach or Fethiye market etc.
Weather lovely September-time.

If you book with Goldtrail you are destined for blocks A,B,or C. These are old fashioned, small rooms next to both the road and the bar. If you win the room lottery and are put in one of the quiet blocks, you might be okay.
The road is home to Hisaronu all night scooter racing club, Turkish Express Coaches, and the Taxi racing federation, as well as the Insomniacs Shouting and Screaming Society.
The bar had the most toe curling, cringe inducing karaoke singers (Dick from Doncaster etc) who repeatedly crucified the classics until 3 a.m. on the Tuesday night we stayed there.
The public areas are tired and shabby. and the resort of Hisaronu can be compared to an Olympic Village judging by the quantity of polyester leisure wear on view. Although not many athletes are around.
We asked to be moved to a quiet room, and after the snort of derision from the sour faced 'manager' we instantly packed our bags and moved to the sanity of Oludeniz. You have been warned.
