Quality Hotel

We went down on a very busy weekend in Killarney. First impressions of the place were not godd-the buildings look dirty and old and not very well kept. We had booked an apartment and after check it we went down to our apartment to find that it was already occupied so we had to go back up and get another apartment a little annoying and not very reasuring as we were given the key to someone elses apartment. Just back from a week long stay at the Quality inn, Killarney. Wasn't sure what to expect when we had read the early reviews of this place. We Stayed in one of the many self-catering apartments which slept up to 8 persons, very spacious, lots of towels, toilet rolls pristinely clean and excellent value for money (good deals on!) The hotel itself is in a great location, on the ring roads so can access all roads out and 15 min from the town centre which myself , my hubby and 2 young kids walked in and out of frequently. Room was clean and comfortable, if a little hot. Great facilities overall with lovely pool. had bar food when we arrived and a bit slow coming. Quality good when it came.Girl on check out very friendly. Will be back!

Granted we just wanted a central point to sleep while sightseeing by car for two days in the area. The receptionist was helpful and when asked if the hotel had a laundry service she said no. OK, we washed socks and undies in the sink as if we were young again in a hostel. When checking the room 2 days later for all our items what did we find? The bag and hotel forms for laundry service and dry cleaning. NO handicapped ramps which we did not need but it is helpful with the steps and heavy luggage we carried in.
