Killarney Royal Hotel

This is definately the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. We booked on the day we arrived and the lady we spoke with was so helpful and friendly. Check in was fast and we were showed to our room, it was beautifully decorated with a large comfy king size bed, the bathroom was amazing with double sinks & marble floor. There was complentary chocolates on the pillows, bathrobes, nice pictures on the walls, little boxes of tissues and a minature pitch and putt game (which amused himself for hours)! Booked in on 21st. & 22nd Jan. The room was very spacious with large screen T.V.Double sink also 2 lovely BATHROBES.King size bed.Extensive Breakfast menue ,irish Breakfast cooked to order.The staff are all very welcoming.No tea or coffee in room but rang reception and Complimentary tray sent up withen minutes on both days.Nice extra in evening ice bucket and water.The dinner was excellant and great service.Great location .

Spent Fri 23rd and Sat 24th Jan and had a lovely time. The hotel is very well located in the of centre the town making it easy to wander. Inside, no expense has been spared on the furnishings and therefore a calm, peaceful and upmarket atmosphere awaits the visitor. Hello after an unexpected health set back over Christmas 2008, my husband took me to this hotel to get me out of the house for a break away. All I can say is it did the trick, this hotel is just such a find. I would not stay elsewhere in Killarney after seeing the quality of accommodation provided by the Royal. This review will be short because our stay was simply excellent and I don't feel the need to over elaborate. We were book in by a dying breed of hotel staff the world over...a local person who knows how to do their job well. We were made to feel welcome in an instant. I cannot explain this in tangible examples but I can remember the feeling with fondness. We've not as yet been back....but we will.

We stayed in the Killarney Royal Hotel for three nights in August 2008. We had requested a room overlooking the main street and we were not dissappointed. The welcome was excellent, our bags were brought to the room without fuss. The room was very large with a king size bed, a writing table, a sofa and a table with soft chairs, The bathroom had a double sink and a bath/ shower. Really good hotel, friendly manager, clean, central, nice mixture of traditional and new, hardwood floors, modern bathroom, well-designed, charming and central.

We stayed at Hayfield Manor in Cork and Manager there recommended the Royal as it is affiliated with it. The Royal was great. The room was very spacious with nice amenities. It is centrally located in town within easy walking distance to most activities. Strongly recommend it.
