Jurys Inn Galway Hotel

The Jury's Inn-Galway was recommended to us from a friend who had stayed there in the past. When we got there, we were assigned what seemed to us to be the last two rooms and the most undesireable. The Reception staff was not able to change our rooms as requested due to a full house. This is due to the Bus/coach traffic which uses this property. It seems they get first preference over an Independent Traveller. Room D-12 or any others on the ground floor are not worthy of Guest Accomodation. They are at street level and are very noisey all night long. People passing on the street can see in as well...Felt like a Homeless person sleeping on the street. Suggested to Hotel Management that they use these rooms either as a Left Luggage Facility or a day room or a broom closet...but not for overnight accomodation. As a result we did not sleep and were fatigued as we continued our roadtrip across Ireland. This is ashame, because Galway has a lot of charm and a great restaurant next door. Location is great. The staff were uninterested and dismissive to our needs until we meet with the Manager the next morning.....will have to reconsider to future stay here or any other Jury's Property
