Connemara Coast Hotel

We stayed for 2 nights, b + b , and evening meal in this hotel with a brethtaking view of the aran islands. its in a beautiful loaction out of the hustle and bustle of galway city yet close enough to take in shopping socialising that it has to offer. it is a great base if you wish to sample the scenery which connemara has to offer. 3 Days of Peace and Tranquility Myself and my husband have just returned from a wonderful short pre-Chrismas break away from the kids in this Hotel. We arrived to be met by a warm welcome on checkin ander a nice young man who brought us to our room. On exploring the Hotel we decided to Dine in their 'Adults Only' restaurant (No Kids - Wonderful Idea, but they also have a family restaurant which on a different visit would also be perfect for us) the food was exceptional, the pianist wonderful and the staff most helpfull and friendly. <br... more

We paid what we thought was over the odds for what is essentially a 3* hotel. We stayed for three nights at a cost of £180 a night with breakast and dinner included. The reception and communal areas are beautiful but the bedrooms are sadly lacking. We paid for a "superior" room and we actually had to call reception to see whether it was a superior room. The room smelt of damp, had damp patches on the ceiling and wall, the bedcovers felt damp, the paint was peeling off the walls in the bathroom and the bathroom needed a complete... more
