An excellent City with so much to offer. This hotel is located literally 5 minutes walk from the central station, 5 minutes walk from the red light district and 10 minutes walk from the main shopping area.
It is situated overlooking a canal, it is off the main road which is great because the hustle of the main street does not translate into this hotel. It is beside an Irish pub which provides your breakfast.
We were staying in a basement room with no window but this was not really a problem as we did not spend tremendous amounts of time in the room. The room was clean and the staff friendly. Please visit Amsterdam as the atmosphere of this liberated city is a must to experience.
