If you are reading this then you must be halfway to booking your holiday in Cancun... Or you have just come back and are blissfully reminiscing.What a fantastic holiday! I could go on for pages about all the good points but would have to think long and hard for anything negative to say about the hotel and holiday as a whole.Spent 2 weeks at the beginning of December 03. Just got back from Cancun yesterday, Jan 10 2004. My boyfriend and I are in our mid twenties. The staff at the hotel were very nice and acomodating and the rooms where always clean. The food was alright but we went on three tours during the week so we didn't eat at the hotel all of the time. Some people who stayed at the Oasis Cancun 4* didn't really like the food either. I am not sure what the entertainment was like because we mostly went out. Things that I strongly recommend are the Jungle tour, Isla Mujeres, and the Coco Bongo club. One... more

We stayed for 3 nights over Christmas. It was the only reasonably priced hotel available in the entire area including the Tulum corridor. We were traveling with a baby and needed certain amenities. The staff was accomodating, a rareity in Cancun where tourists are usually treated as numbers. They actually let us move to a different room where there was less traffic noise. Serrado (bell hop and man wonder) was super nice. The rooms were clean and the common areas were nice, not plush, but my 22 month old son thought the pool activities... more

I went down with a friend for a week, what a blast!!!! I was unsure at first, the first room we had was a little small, but the upgrade was definetly worth it. Food was not that great, but who cares the bartenders and staff were the greatest!!! I would definetly go back just to see them. It was my first time in Cancun and I was very pleased!!!!

This place was great for the price! when we first got there we were a little sketchey but found this place to be very nice. the room we had at first was ok( main floor) my girlfriend had found a little gecko in the room, she did not like that! After booking my stay at the Aquamarina, I read some of the negative reviews here on trip advisor and I started to worry about what I maybe getting. After arriving and walking the property, it became apparent that the people who wrote those negative review must of thought they booked a room at the Sheraton or Hilton. We spent a wonderful, crazy week at the Aquamarina Beach Hotel in Cancun, May 26 - June 2, 2003. Our room was much better than we were expecting, clean, very large with two double beds, a fridge, stove, and a vanity area. We were very impressed for the money. We did get an extremely outrageous deal from Toronto... I won't even say how much! The food could have been better, but the variety was there. The Aquamarina was just an all around great hotel. The Staff is what really made the hotel. From the sweetest maids to the chefs who worked all day in the heat outside and made sure we where full and the Bartenders like Alberto, Jose Luis, and Ismal who kept the parties going for most of the night and pulled strings to make the tip more fun if tipped well.. All in all the experience at the Hotel was Awesome. I'd go there again.

After having booked an all inclusive trip including this hotel, we later found this website, and were a bit disturbed by the two negative postings about the hotel, staff, and food. We just returned from our 8 day stay in Cancun, and it was a wonderful vacation.
