A touch of class on the edge of the city...
from BigT_0209
I stayed for night while attedning a wedding in another hotel and found the hotel to be perfect for my needs, and especially the food. The quality and quantity of food available was second to none and the staff were all friendly and polite. The bar where i ate wasn't too busy and admittedly lacked a bit of atmosphere but what can you expect on a saturday afternoon. I admit, I did not try and use the leisure facilities, (being too hung over from the wedding party) which aren't really part of the hotel anyway, but everything else I used...

South of Belfast
from adedonnelly
We stayed for nights in Feb '07 with our 8 yr old son , in a family room. We selected it because of a swimming pool. That was a mistake. The pool is owned and run by the fitness club, and does not cater for children at all ! A horrible experience with rude staff. The hotel initially disappointed , because of the room having two queen beds ( three quarter size) As we have a king size at home this took a bit of getting used to. There was a lot of cooidor noise, from other residents, but that is to be expected. The food was great....

comfortable and quiet
from travellingcat79
Generally a nice hotel, rooms are spacious and comfortable with good facilities. Room service menu was good and food came pretty quickly. The only downside was that I found the check-in staff to be quite patronising, which there is just no need for.
Ignore the bad reviews
from MarkSR
I really cannot understand the bad reviews given for this hotel. I have stayed here twice over the last year and keep returning time and time again. It has really nice rooms, breakfast is superb, room service is efficient, well fititng of a 4 star hotel. I do agree with some of the posts that the bar is lacking in atmosphere but as Belfast is such a great place to go out in, it is unlikely you will find a lot of people in hotel bars The only other gripe I have is the location, well away from the city centre but there are...

Very comfortable
from Lynneys
I stayed for four nights at the Ramada Belfast for business. Clean comfortable, spacious and the staff were very polite and friendly. I only ordered room service once but this was prompt and very tasty! The leisure facilities are attached to the hotel but beware..you need a cap to swim in the pool...even if your bald! And you need to take the towel from the room, or purchase one at the pool! Nice stay...going back this week again for work...
Well presented, good service
from DamienKeegan
Once again, I was put up in a hotel used by a company we are working for. No bad thing really! (See "Tall Trees"... :) ) The Ramada is out of the City, about £7 by cab each way if you want to go exploring. I found the staff to be friendly and very helpful, especially one of the managers who let me use their printer. Nothing was a problem or too much trouble. The "Belfast" Bar and Grill was almost empty at 9.00 on a Monday night, but the service and food were exceptional! There is also an Indian restaurant on the premises and...

OK Hotel - Beware of the Gym!
from ScotsJohn
This is your standard Business/conference/function 4 star hotel - hotel food, hotel service, decent rooms - all OK. However I booked it specifically becasue it had a gym and a swimming pool advertised however BEWARE this is attached to the hotel but run as a seperate business and the Gym staff are not at all accomodating to people coming in from the hotel to use the facilities. Some examples - they will not give you a towel (even though they had a huge pile of them spare) - they insist you fetch your own one out of the room, there...
