Went on a girly shopping weekend courtesy of Ryanair from Liverpool to Belfast. Was a little cautious about going, but actually had the time of our lives. The flight takes half an hour if that. Belfast City Airport is literally 10 mins from the city centre. The place has plenty of shops, bars (obviously!), cafes/restaurants and places of interest - wish we could have stayed longer. One of the nicest things was the friendliness of the people. You hear about the Irish charm, well they certainly have it. For a cheap weekend break this couldn't be beat. We've booked again for February!

This place is a really cheap place to stay. I stayed here because it was close to the airport and I had an early morning flight to catch and the location was just perfect.
The rooms themselves are basic, however they are very clean and comfortable so don’t let the price put you off because they are good value.
Some people were complaining that they had to park over the road as the hotel has no car park itself, this was not a problem for me but could be to some I suppose.
I would use a Travelodge again.

Long story short - booked a room with late check-out and paid by card. Arrived at the Travelodge and my card was swiped to confirm. Was woken up the following morning and asked to check out. When I advised we had paid for late check out they went away and came back to say we hadn't paid for this. I said we would pay on departure, which we did. I checked my bank statement and noted I was charged twice for late check-out (payment had in fact been made the first time around). Not only did I pay for it twice, but the fact we were rudely awoken defeats the purpose of late check-out. I lodged a complaint over two months ago - it was forwarded to the Belfast Travelodge manager for investigation twice, but no response!
Steer clear.
