We stayed at the Phenicia after a stay at a Sentido hotel in Turkey. We were really pleased with our stay here. We had a lovely holiday. Our stay was for 11 nights. On arrival, we were given cool towels and a refreshing lemon drink. Registering did not take too long and... more

Got home yesterday from a fantastic week long break! The hotel and staff were brilliant. The food and drink was all really good, especially the fresh pancakes. We were a little anxious about taking our 4 year old but the staff were brilliant. The only downside was that... more

Have just come back from two weeks all inclusive at the Phenicia. First of all I would say, even though this is advertised in the winter sun brochures, if it important to you to have sunny weather don't go until at least April. We had about 4 really good days and the rest... more

When we arrived at the hotel it seemed a little too quiet for me, this may be because of the time of year. There was a nice chilled atmosphere and it had a huge reception area where we could sit and have a quiet drink. The next day we got up and explored the hotel, there... more

The hotel was great, as were the staff. The weather in January is pleasantly warm and my husband and I have both returned home with suntans after only 1 week. Our main complaint was that as we were Half-Board, and we had to pay for lunch, coffees, sunbed mattresses etc. ... more

Brilliant Hotel
The second time me and my family have been to tunisia but the first time to this hotel, i came with my daughter and my son and they loved it, we went all inclusive which i would advise to everybody! the hotel has brilliant gardens which are extremly taken good care off, there is a private beach just a one minute walk through the gardens, the beach had vollyball nets and football nets also a beach bar! the entertainment team work extremly hard to make it a holiday to remember, during the day there is archry, tennis, mini golf, vollyball,... more
lOVED THE HOTEL
Have recently returned from the phencia on wednesday well what can i stay me and my Partner loved the place we both in our twentys and had no faults at all. we went to the la carte restuarte and its well worth the money best food i had! had read previous reviews on this website about the hotel and all i can say is that me and my partner all going back next year as we enjoyed it a lot. outside the hotel theres is a few bars and if you walk a bit further some shops we went to the bars from the hotel nearly every night and there... more
It's a hit, for me
Right, just got back from the Phenicia and as I used this site to make my choice, it's only fair that I add my view. First of all I agree with the May 2 post in the main. The hotel, part of the Iberostar group (there is a website with a virtaul tour of the hotel), is great. For a package holiday hotel, it's 4 star. Very modern, immaculately clean and pretty grounds, with the sound of birds singing (and laid-back music by the pool for about an hour in the morning!). The pools are very good - heated one is great, icy cold one,... more
Lovely Hotel, shame aout the resort
My partner (we are both in our mid twenties) and i have just returned from the Hotel Phenica and i have returned with mixed feelings about the place. We travelled with first choice who were excellent, the flights were on time and everything went smoothly. There was a 2 hour delay at Monastair airport with the baggage which meant we missed our evening meal at the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely and modern and clean, the staff are to be seen at all time tidying the gardens and cleaning. I think its still out of season at the... more
great holiday
Have just returned from a family(8 of us ages 10, 13, 21, 20, 43, 45, 56, 57) holiday at The Phenicia Hotel, beautiful hotel, rooms could do with freshening up and there was very limited drawer space but rest of the hotel and grounds are wonderful, 3 pools with no problem getting a sunbed, cushions were brought to you, garden leading onto private beach with beach bar and volley ball and foot ball nets, free sunbeds with cushions and towels.Lack of snacks we thought for AI but rest of the food was excellent.Fried eggs, omelletes, crepes... more
Wonderful
Having returned a week ago today, I thought it was time to post my review. I spent quite a while researching the different destinations in Tunisia using trip advisor as several reviews for different places did warn about the possible lack of quality. All I can say however is that this resort is the number 1 in Hammamet for a reason, it is truly wonderful. The rooms were clean and modern, the reception area was large and spacious, and the swimming pools were clean (although one was slightly colder it made for an interesting remedy to... more
Best of a mixed bag
I want to thank Trip Advisor and the reviewers for helping us to arrive at our conclusion of the Phenicia Hotel for our first trip to Tunisia. From what we saw after arrival it looked to be the best of a mixed bag of odd looking places. We booked direct online and flew direct. The Hotel is at the end of a long boulevard set in it's own grounds and impressive on arrival. It is a big place and can accommodate over 900 people! There were 600 in situ whilst we were there. The grounds are spacious and the rooms reasonable. We were lucky and had a pool... more
loved the phenicia
Just came back from tunisia March 18th. Great hotel and the food was excellent. The staff were very helpful and we found them very pleasant. The entertainment was very good and the boys and girls were full of fun trying to get everyone involved in the outdoor activities
Great hotel
My partner and I had a lovely stay at the Phenicia. The hotel is very well presented, clean and modern. We went on a half board basis (we usually only go BB) and it was well worth it - the buffet evening meal was very good, varied choice of cuisine and cooked well. There is a spa at the hotel with a Turkish bath which again was very good. Now the only negative - the weather......not really the hotels fault! We went early March and had about two nice days, the rest of the time was wet, windy or both. I wouldn't go to Tunisia... more
Nice hotel but remote
We were expecting great things from this hotel after reading some of the reviews on tripadvisor. The hotel was very nice and the food good. What lets the hotel down is the lack of nearby amenities. Positioned roughly half way between old and new Hammamet, there isn’t much to do outside the hotel. Poor lighting on the road outside the hotel and the number of local youths hanging around both made my wife feel unsafe about walking outside the hotel at night. Getting to new Hammamet takes about 20 minutes by taxi. I’ve been to Tunisia a... more
