I thought the hotel was excellent...
8 / 10
Aug 2004, Mr MJM Miller

I thought the hotel was excellent with superb food and drink available all day, a beach a few steps from the rooms, great swimming pools though most preferred the beach and the sea. The workers were very good, helpful and charming, there was a wide range of extra activities, I particularly enjoyed the sunset horse ride, which you can book at the towel hut, but remember the mosquito repellent. I think when I next go to Cuba I would go to the mainland as I felt a bit isolated on the island and would have enjoyed the sights of Havana. Overall I would say this was one of the best holidays I have ever been on and I’ve been on a few, Great for the whole family!

This was my family's 2nd time...
10 / 10
Jul 2004, FREDA

This was my family's 2nd time visiting this same hotel .
Our family enjoyed staying at this hotel because the food in both of the restaurants was great.
The bar staff were very welcoming and caring. During the day there was loads of activities to take part in with the star friends/entertainment team.
Our rooms were nice and clean the maid was great she left the room spotless.
You can reserve the Mexican at night time the food is great .at night time there is a little kids show with fun and games for the kids but a bit later the show starts .the show is great it has dancing acting and also some times u might be picked to act in a show or compete with other people which is a great laugh and loads more. After the show there is a disco, which will give you a chance to show off your dance moves.
The entertainers are the best they look after you and are very nice to talk to.
You will get chance to go on some trips like driving a speedboat by yourself and then going snorkelling, you could go deep sea fishing also take a trip to the main centre Havana ,also you could go and swim with the dolphins.
I have found nothing wrong with my holiday and I am hoping to go back next year for the 3rd time in a row. I hope you will share the experience as I got to do .

This was our families 3rd visit to...
10 / 10
Apr 2004, Mrs G Wingsmith

This was our families 3rd visit to Cuba and to the same hotel. White sandy beach, a clear blue sea, and excellent food with a choice of restaurants. All inclusive drinks options are fantastic especially the cocktails which are all served in correct style of glass. Plenty of activities and sporting events going on throughout the day which you are gently encouraged to join in but no pressure if you don’t want to.
The staff including the excellent entertainment team all highly professional and their evening shows are the best we have ever seen any where in the last 10 years (and we have seen many).
Please feel confident in booking this hotel- many people this Easter we met their the previous year including English and Canadians- you will not be disappointed.
Just bear in mind that you are actually on an Island so trips are fairly limited although there is an excellent trip on the Island for speed boat you drive yourself to a secluded snorkelling area which was out of this world. Other trips involve flying to Havana or coach trips across the Causeway to the mainland.

We chose this hotel, as we have...
6 / 10
Nov 2003, Mrs L Taylor

We chose this hotel, as we have always wanted to go to Cuba and had stayed in an Iberostar previously and had a very good experience. However, this hotel did not live up to our expectation I would rate it more of a 3* than a 4*. The staff have not quite mastered the customer service side of things although one or two were very good. The food was ok but not brilliant quality. The entertainment was pretty poor too and as this hotel is in the middle of no-where you couldn’t go out.
Our room was dark and not very well maintained so we were moved to one that was a bit better but not much. Overall I would say Cuba is lovely and the beaches were wonderful, but the standard of the hotel was not as good as we expected and we were disappointed.
Most things (as with all of Cuba) were produced in Cuba so there were no branded soft drinks etc (no coke, sprite) I didn’t think this would bother us but after a while I started to wish for something that tasted right! Cuba is a very deprived country, which I didn’t realise - It was a good experience but we wouldn’t go back.
We spoke to people staying in other hotels who were having a similar experience -Suggest if you want to go choose a hotel in a busy area where you can get out and about a bit more as the standards of the hotels in Cuba are not as high and you could be disappointed. Also don’t go in November/December it rained 10 days out of 14!

Cuba is a fantastic place the locals...
4 / 10
Aug 2002, Mr P Johnston

Cuba is a fantastic place the locals are very friendly and I would recommend my particular resort to anyone of any age group there is plenty of activities and sports provided during the day and entertainment at night Havana is a must see city for a extra £100 we were flown there for the day given a guided tour of the beautiful city with lunch provided for us in a local restaurant. Overall weather great accommodation great food average mostly due to the fact so many different nationalities visited there the food was widely varied but all tasted the same.
