Artto Hotel

At first arrival at the Artto hotel, we thought that it looked quite contemporary and the man at reception was very mannerly. However, going up to the room it was a different story. Firstly we were given a twin room instead of a double. We got to our double room and realised that there was no toilet paper or soap in the bathroom. Stayed at the Arto In February...Great Location, very clean. The lobby/reception area which also is a a bar is very nice. The staff is OUTSTANDING...very helpful and friendly. They made an extraordinary effort to return my cell phone to me in the states. Also very helpful with maps and directions.

My family ( myself, husband and six-year old daughter ) stayed in the Artto for 4 nights just before Easter 2006. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the reception doubles as a bar, which we found gave the hotel a very friendly, comfortable entrance. The hotel is in a fantastic location, just opposite central station ( no shortage of taxis! ), and we found the levels of noise to be perfectly acceptable, even at night - at most a reminder that you are staying in the centre of a large city. We stayed at the Artto Hotel for one night. We wanted a good location with a nice room and thats exactly what we got. The room was lovely. It was not 'tiny' as other reports say although not massive either! Very good location with bars etc very closeby. Great value for money! Would def. stay there again.

Stayed here for 2 nights in June 2005. Hotel is right in the city centre. Looks like a bar when you walk in which is nice and is linked to a restaurant next door which serves breakfast and a indian curry buffet. Room was very small (I would liken it to a box room + small en-suite). Everything was packed and included everything you would expect in a hotel room. Paid £43 p/n excluding breakfast. Was worth the price considering the location/convenience. Food available everywhere as city centre. Would stay again.

stayed at the artto for 1 night myself husband and baby in one room and my mother and sister just along the corridor in another room the rooms were very clean and bathroom was lovely the room its self was very well equipt with hairdryer tv and tea making facilities in the room the restaurant was spotless food excellent the man in the restaurant was very good making sure you got tea or coffee well mannered and friendly the guy behind reception was polite and friendly really helpful will be returning again

Chose it initially because of price and location, how wrong was i? If your room was on mainroad all you could hear was traffic, so i had to switch rooms. Rooms are tiny, we had a tiny bath aswell. Hotel charged me twice for one night and im still trying to sort it all out. Hotel is terrible, no customer service, stay away, maybe good price for a 4* but is horrendous, i recommend Menzies Glagow, plus you get free on-site parking there! You pay about £10 for on-street parking for stayin one night!
