Cabins were AWESOME!
Owner Andrew Cox was superb! Coming from Canada, we were hesitant about staying in a cabin since ours can be quite primitive offering just the basics. These cabins were quiet, immaculate and extremely comfortable. It was the best accommodation we had on our three-week trip to England, Scotland and France. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly helping us to see parts of Scotland we might never have seen. Will definitely be back!
Enjoyed the Loch Kinord
Firstly, a warm welcome on arrival. A relaxed and cosy atmosphere. A comfortable room. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent whether in the first class restaurant or the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back again.
Fantastic three day break
What a outstanding hotel this proved to be for only a 3 star status. My wife and myself stayed here for three nights on a short break to get some rest and relaxation. We had read the reviews so we expected it would be a good choice for what we were looking for. It not only lived up to but exceeded our expectations by a considerable margin. The friendliness of the owner and all the staff were outstanding, the accomodation was very comfortable and the quality and presentation of the food brilliant. For anyone who is thinking of... more
Loved everything
Our family of four visited the Loch kinord Hotel for three nights in March 07. We stayed in a family suite with four poster in bedroom and spa bath, it was tastefully decorated, big white towels and crisp white bedding. The owner Jenny was really enthusiastic with the children and advised us on things to do, such as skiing at Lecht ski centre which was around 30-45 minutes drive. The food was lovely and the children enjoyed the steak pie, and ate lots of vegetables, we were really impressed with the menu and tried lots of... more
Great food and friendly staff
Four of us spent a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Friendly and helpful staff and a very good chef.
Friendly folk and good food at Loch Kinord
We spent two nights at the hotel in snowy weather in February. We had two very good dinners, enjoyed a bracing walk round the loch (about 5 miles) and appreciated the friendly staff. The wine was perhaps a tad pricey, but the food was very good. Highly recommended.
Warm welcome at the Kinord
Just what you expect from a country house hotel. Lovely warm reception with cozy rooms and an atmosphere of relaxed charm The food was well prepared and flavoursome. The hotel is situated by some lovely walks particularly around the loch and no climbing necessary. The hosts and the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend this hotel for a long or short stay
A great experience
As soon as you enter the Loch Kinord Hotel you are aware of the warm, friendly atmosphere. The staff go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. The food is of a very high standard and the accommodation is extremely comfortable. I will definately be visiting the Loch Kinord again. Robert Shea.
Had a wonderful time at Loch Kinord.
Booked a last-minute break at Loch Kinord - dinner, bed and breakfast for two nights. The room was great. We had booked a regular double room: we were upgraded to a room with four-poster. The food was excellent. On the second night, we arranged for a couple of friends to dine with us. A three-course meal for each of our friends, plus coffee, and alcoholic drinks for all four of us cost only £55 - great value for top-quality food. Staff were extremely friendly. I'd recommend the hotel for couples looking for a... more
What a disaster !
One night in the suite and a taster menu in the restaurant was worth a lot of money. Was it really worth it? The answer is NO ! Unfriendly service people, noicy room, shower didn't work and any complaints have been handeled very unprofessionel. This was the only disappointment on a 2 weeks trip in a nice country !
