Fairfield House Hotel

Had a lovely stay at Fairfeild House. Staff were excellent. Had a lovely break.No complaints. WILL definately go back.

Just returned from a weekend at this hotel with my husband and 2 children it was fantastic, the family room was very large and the bathrom, well you could have accomodated another family in it it was so big. The food was the best I have tasted for a long time and they catered for the children without a problem. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, I would go back tomorrow.

After many reviews of this hotel we booked with a little trepidation. But we found a good deal on late rooms and thought what the hell let’s do it. On arrival we were welcomed by friendly staff. She immediately warned us that there was a wedding party in and the room we had was above the function suite! Lovely hotel; very spacious and clean bedroom + bathroom; great views; decent pool; mostly friendly staff. It should be made clear to guests at the time of booking "Bed AND Breakfast" that this is for Continental breakfast only and there is a £7.50 extra charge per person for anything cooked and £2.50 for any additional portion (the portions were not large). After complaining twice over the noise of the Executive Room we were allocated, which we found out ourselves was coming from the pump room for the swimming pool, we were moved to another at the front of the hotel. All seemed fine until we came back from dinner (not in the hotel) and we flushed the toilet, together with other guests during the nght. Rooms dated and in need of refurbishment. Rate £135 per night and supplement of £7:50 per person for any hot breakfast dishes.. Were not informed at time of booking that the public areas were being decorated and so very restricted public areas available. Loud pop music in dining area at breakfast time

I've stayed at Fairfield House through business on more than 75 nights. On every occasion without exception I have been treated with the utmost friendliness and courtesy. I get the feeling I am staying with friends, but friends that happen to run a 4-star hotel. Rooms are beautiful and clean and comfy, food is excellent and the staff are second to none. Many of the big chain 4-star hotels should look to Fairfield House to see how such a hotel should be run. Rating 10/10
