My husband and I stayed at the Station Hotel from the 1th May - 13th May. Could not fault this hotel in any way.
We booked through easybreaks and the value for money was fantastic. The receptionist was very pleasant and polite. Our room was great, very clean and modern, we were very impressed as we read other earlier reviews stating otherwise.
The food was excellent with a good choice of menu, and a good hearty breakfast to start your day. Would definitely be back.

This hotel was shocking! It was absolute rubbish.
It smelt, was unclean and had bugs which were awful - just don't go OK!
The room was by no means substantial because I went with my two children for three nights and I couldn't wait to get out it was that bad.
The food was also disgusting and I strongly advice you not to ever be there!

Well where do I begin! DONT STAY HERE! Between trains shaking our room at the early hours in the morning and very noisy people we didn’t sleep for 2 days! We even ended up going home a day early. About the only good part of the stay was breakfast which I have to say was very good! (A very full English!)
As for things to do... There isn’t anything! Well apart from the bowling ally where you are afraid to put your fingers in the balls as they might get bitten off by some small furry creature! Well to close, if you have to stay in Ayr then sleep in your car on the main road! You might get more sleep!

First room we got was not as we had booked. Went back to reception and it was quickly sorted out. Room large and cleanish. Don't think their hoover has a slim attachment as very dirty between some of the furniture. In the bathroom the soap landed on the lino behind the sink and we had to throw it out as it was covered in hairs and fluff. Food not very nice. It says on the way into the dinning room that it is all cooked fresh and you may have to wait, the fish was certainly fresh but not so sure about other things. Sweets were not nice.
We were booked in for four nights half board but went out two nights. Hotel is not doing much for global warming. The radiator in our room was on all the time, we could not turn it down. We had to have the windows full open all the time which was not ideal on a Friday night with a disco held at the hotel. Would not return to this hotel but it was cheap so you get what you pay for.
