After reading about the Atlas Hotel we approached with some trepidation, but as soon as you walk through the door into the lobby you know you have made a good choice.
The girls on the reception were always very friendly and helpful.
The room was absolutely spotless, and the breakfast was also very good, with unlimited cereal, bread and meats, cheeses, yogurts, coffee or tea and fruit juice.
I would recommend this Hotel to anyone, and will use it again on my next visit to Budapest.

I booked the hotel on the internet for my friend and I as we wanted somewhere fairly central but not too noisy. The hotel was exactly as described, in a fairly quiet residential street but within five minutes walk of metro stations, tram and bus stops and some very good shops including the House of Palinka. It took about ten to fifteen minutes to walk into the centre from the hotel.
The hotel itself was clean and the room was a decent size, only lacking a kettle so that we could make our own coffee in the mornings. The price was one of the cheapest for the location and even the mini bar wasn't extortionate like they usually are. The small bar downstairs was perfect for a nightcap and all the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite.
I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and will definitely stay there again (and use Octopus Travel again).

Considering how cheap this hotel is, it was a great deal. Easy to get into the centre by tram or about a 20 minute walk. Breakfast is interesting (hotdogs and scrambled eggs, but it certainly does the job. Very warm inside but in the winter remember it is freezing outside so don’t be fooled!
The rooms were large and the bathroom was clean. Not the best views out the windows but s a place to sleep it is fine.
There is not a huge amount going on bar and restaurant wise all that close to this hotel but as I said, it is easy to get into town and there is a supermarket a very short walk away.
Fun in the evening at the bar as lots of like minded English speaking people to talk about the days events with whilst having a late night drink.

I was part of a Hen Do. Our room was never cleaned for the hole 3 days of our stay but they said on the reception that the staff had been in the room So what the staff were doing in our room wasn't cleaning, no beds made or bins changed etc . Other people in our group did have their rooms cleaned, so some of the staff where doing their job.
On top of not having our room cleaned I also had my camera taken and £20 English money. I stupidly left my camera on my bed for the day, their cctv showed only the cleaners going in to our room that day?(I didn't see the CCTV, this is what they told me)
When I told the staff about it being taken from being quite nice and helpful they kept trying to fob me off,and also said they had rung the police , which I later found out they hadn't. There were 3 cleaners in our room that day and my camera went walkies and they didn't take the people of cleaning duties. So they could still be cleaning rooms now?
When I went to the police to report it, they knew the hotel well.
So if you use this hotel do not leave anything out. Also the breakfast was very poor.
Maybe I was just the unlucky one but just BEWARE. Budapest was lovely but I would use a different hotel next time.
