Macdonald Four Seasons Hotel

We have just returned from a disastrous stay at the Four Seasons. We had booked one nights full board acc for our mums 60th and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. They couldn't even arrange for the flowers, champagne and chocolates we had ordered, to be in our Mum’s room on arrival. The main piano bar and dining room were freezing. Fellow diners were sitting eating their meal in bubble ski jackets, fleeces etc.
The dinner menu was limited and the food was no more than acceptable, not what you would expect in a 4 star hotel. The staff were miserable (probably freezing), we didn't get a smile out of any of them. Our complaints were not taken seriously. At one point a member of staff offered to go to the local Tesco to get flowers for our mum bearing in mind we had ordered a £50 bouquet, talk about adding insult to injury.
Our party ended up in one of our bedrooms at 10pm because it was the only place in the hotel we could get a heat. I could go on and on. We are still so upset. We are awaiting the Managing Directors call today. We stayed at this hotel before when it was the Hilton and the Four Seasons and in our opinion the Macdonald Group have neglected this hotel in favour of their new flagship Aviemore Highland Resort.
They have ruined what should have been a very happy celebration for our family and we will never forget that. Be warned. If you decide on a trip to Aviemore for any purpose do not make the mistake of staying at the MacDonald Four Seasons.
