Swallow Three Tuns Hotel

This is a rather tired hotel which could do with a refurbishment. There's clearly plenty of character in the place, and the staff are eager to please. Breakfast was pleasant and served in very civilised surroundings, but was hardly a dazzling experience. At £70 for a single room, this hotel is a little on the expensive side. A curtain-tie in the room was loose, and a hole adjacent to it had been stuffed with tissues rather than being filled properly. The bathroom was a little grotty, with slight mould on the shower curtain and a chip in the basin. The hotel is very centrally located and, despite this, has ample parking. Fresh milk is provided for in-room tea and coffee; this makes a very welcome change from the usual UHT stuff. Overall, this is probably OK if you don't want to splash out. It's not luxurious but it's not a hovel.
